Xannadu:You don't really understand these pastors then to say he should have realized what he preached was wrong and come out to correct it. When the fact is that he knows that what he was preaching is false but how will he get more money from his congregation when most of them are their to look for money too, like connection for business, employees who there oga force to attend by force and a church where them and their wealth will be worshipped and admired by others, somewhere to wear their new clothes and shoes to, and brag about how everyone in their church is rich. So both the deceiver pastor and the deceived church members know exactly what they are doing and can never correct anything instead he'll double down on it. ![]() |

When pride comes into the pulpit, the preacher begins to feel they are equal with God and can talk anyhow.... Dear pastor, beware of pride. 1 Timothy 3 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¹ This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. … ⁶ Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. |

Bobloco:God did not call anybody. God, if he exists, does not call anybody. Anybody can call themselves and claim that God called them. Sadly, enough gullible people believe the contrary for this to be a thriving business in Nigeria. That's why a silly pastor like this can preach an obvious lie and many will still swallow it hook, line and sinker. It's a cult, a cult of personality, and nothing anyone says changes the minds of these simpletons. |

SmellingAnus:You see, that an argument is correct by omission does not mean it's correct. Jesus's job in the Bible was not to visit as many people as possible. He likely visited no more than 5 or 6 people, but if all the people he visited were rich, it's still no indication that he wasn't more aligned with the poor than he was with the rich. This is a clear twisting of the foundation of the Bible by this prosperity preacher, because literally the whole theme of the Bible centres around how being poor is more acceptable to God than material wealth. Maybe if this supposed pastor can bring out an evidence in the Bible where a rich man went to heaven without having to give up their riches first, then it would make sense to say being materially wealthy is favoured by God or Jesus. In many parables and in other clear teachings, I think Jesus made it fairly obvious that material wealth impedes, rather than enables eventual access to God or to his kingdom. This is even an undisputable fact and it's almost comical at this stage to be arguing about it. But then, what do I know, there's no spinning these pastors won't pursue if it increases the stream of cash flow into their bank accounts. |

He goofed with the "JESUS hates the poor" aspect of that sermon. I hope he summons courage to remorsefully retract that part. Poverty is not good, but mocking the poor is a no no. Proverbs 17:5 KJV "Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished." |

helinues:1. Christianity in essence is not a religion. 2. Christianity is perfect but Christians are not. They are growing towards perfection. 3. There are wolves in sheep clothing. Many more on the way. 4. Not all calling themselves Christian are Christians. 5. Some Christians are gullible unfortunately. They throw away common sense and are lazy with Bible studies. 6. God will purify His Church before Jesus returns especially through the Great Tribulation. |

SmellingAnus:He visited Peter's house who was not known to be rich other than being a follower of CHRIST. Nowhere in the Scriptures is Peter noted for being rich. Matthew 8:14-15 KJV "And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. [15] And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them." Now that's not the part that bothers me. The part where he said" JESUS hates the poor" is the real gaffe for me. He should be bold and apologetic enough to retract that part. That part is an affront on Scriptures. Proverbs 17:5 KJV "Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished." This is the testimony of JESUS CHRIST Himself. Matthew 11:4-5 KJV "Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see: [5] The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them." The apostles also reminded Paul about the poor. Galatians 2:10 KJV "Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do." |

SmellingAnus:No, You missed the point. Stop doing this pastor said this, or that pastors said that. Search it out yourself. It's the same bible you are supposed to be reading that they are supposed to be reading as well. It was a normal thing for Jesus to be with the poor. He was always with them. It was nothing remarkable. His whole ministry was first and foremost, to the Jews, a poor and downtrodden people because at that time, they were slaves in roman territory after having being carted away when Jerusalem fell to Jerusalem enemies. Read your Bible so nobody can bobo you. The fact that He dined with a few rich was only remarkable and worth mentioning because it was totally out of character for HIM. |

SmellingAnus:Mary and Martha that he visited, they’re rich abi. What about his own family? Are they rich? How many rich people are among his twelve disciples? The first four disciples are common fishermen, yet people like you keep preaching on how Jesus hate poor people. The 5000, and 4000 people he took to the wilderness and eventually and miraculously fed, are they rich. How many rich people did Jesus even visited? Maybe you should also answer that |
