Well, it depends on him. It is no longer a wow amount as it would have been some 10 years ago. Other conditions that will matter is if he cooks himself? working from home and not need to commute to work? whether he has dependents(siblings, parents, wife, children girlfriend e.t.c)? , not a spend thrift that likes showoff, any investment plan? Not cbex like oooo. Paying rent or own a house or libing in family house? Own a car? Has a costly habit like drugs, womanising, gambling, ? There are too many factors that can make the money appear like 50k. Someone up made a perfect summary which is the value of money lies in the owners hand. To those converting to foreign currency, that is obviously not a smart thing to do. It is about the same foolishness as converting foreign currency earned by abroad resident to naira. |

For a tech bro, it is a miserable salary. He should work for the experience but continue job hunting especially for international roles. |

Single guy on 550k is okay as long as he has plan of scaling up his career and increasing his potential to earn more in a short time. Note* if you must marry, make sure your wife is also working or earning well in a scalable business too, so you can build a financial secured future together. Or else, the 550k will be equivalent to 50k when responsibilities and life's turbulences happens. |
