First, kudos to you and what you represent on here. I've known your moniker for as long as I can remember.

Not to tackle what you've said, but I just don't want you to thrash out what the person you quoted said, because he/she is not wrong

If we are constantly unwell or lacking energy due to poor lifestyle choices, our ability to serve God might be Hindered. If you made some "not so favourable Lifestyle choices, you may not have this energy to do what you do on Nairaland.

Applying wisdom to our food choices and lifestyle is not to state that we own our lives. Our body is the temple of God, just imagine that statement!
Choosing foods that nourish us and avoiding excesses could be seen as an act of excersing the wisdom that God gave us. That's why he gave us wisdom (sense/brain).

In summary, taking care of our health allows us to better fulfill the responsibilities God has given us.


This is not to say that Big Bolaji didn't take care of his health (even though, he could still be singing at 70 or mentoring the young ones).

I just wanted to clarify your statement and corroborate what the initial poster said.

Death is a spirit which no one has ever defeat except Jesus Christ.. Even king Hezekiah has to bank on Deuteronomy 28, for God to adjust death for him.
Death will surely come one day. But untimely death is what we never wanted..
God is the God of all Spirit who is able to tame death,
John 1: 12 says for as many who believe in Jesus Christ he gave them power to become the son of God.
When you are son of God, untimely death is no no for you.

Fat and body mass is not the way to show wealth or that you're blessed or comfortable people. If you are wise, when God bless you finish, na that time you suppose change your diet and lifestyle to eating to live, I see people carry big big food dey post enjoyment as caption-na u mumu pass.

Eat plenty vegetable and fruit, exercise, eat healthy, eat plenty Fibre, walk and exercise, have safe sex, travel, help the poor kids and watch them flourish and achieve greatness. You will be happy and feel fulfilled.

It's not until they pack chicken, goat meat, pork, beef everything inside bowl for you that you're big. No let food kill you. Stop packing fat, looking unattractive

See people bickering about body weight when lifetime worth 50 years of solid memories and impact has just been terminated. Insensitive.

I've known Big Bolaji sice about 2008 and he has always been big. Big people also live long and as a matter of fact look more fit in old age than skinny people but that's beside the point.

May his soul rest in peace and may the Holy Spirit comfort the family in these trying times.

Life expectancy in Nigeria is not 70 years.We are among the least lived humans in the world.lt is only 54 years.lt's still a thing of prestige and class to eat too much.Only the age group from 18 to 35,do exercise regularly Overeating has no bounds for those who can afford it.The less
fortunate too eat much high carbs.That's why there are
many skinny fat people.

Some rich people think by stuffing food in their mouth it shows they are enjoying their money. Go to some amala joints, you see one person will eat 2 ogunfe, 10 assorted meat with 5 wraps of amala, or you see them consume massive plate of npobi, big eba with all sorts of proteins, omo, I look at them in disgust, they are using their money to poison themselves. Lol
Check out rich oyinbo, the gourmet food they eat, quality, it could be 7 dishes but in bite size quantity.
Another thing is alcohol, you see someone will sit down and consume 5 bottles of beer, or bottle of hennesy. Walai, stop beer and spirit for 1 year and just on that alone you will loose atleast 10kg. I did that and from 117kg, I now weigh 95! Less less red meat too.
