Who still give out goods when they have not received an alert? Even when I receive an alert I still log into my account to verify the transaction then I send out 1k to one of my other accounts to see an actual current balance too. You just need to calm, I no fit shout.

In most cases I don't open reciept. What is the use of showing me receipt when it has not landed in my account.

It means dat even if u don't have money in ur acct app, u can schedule a transfer for tomorrow and it will generate a receipt for u.
Lucky enough u were able to discover session id. Some schedule transfer will still carry reference number.

Sometime earlier this month, around past 7am, just as I was heading out to drop my kids at school, I got a call.

The person claimed someone referred him to me. He said his boss, a senator, urgently needed bags of rice for a birthday giveaway to prisoners and motherless babies. Sounds noble, right?

I gave him the price.

By 8:10am, he requested my account details.

Barely 10 minutes later, he forwarded a transaction receipt of N2.1 million and began calling repeatedly, urging me to send the goods immediately.

He said, “We trusted you enough to pay before seeing you. Please trust us back and send the rice now. We need it urgently.”

But something didn’t sit right with me.

Thankfully, I zoomed in on the receipt and noticed a tiny detail that didn’t match up.

I'll share the major difference here

I forwarded the receipt to my account officer, and guess what?

It was a fake alert.

I quietly thanked God and smiled. Because if I had moved by emotions, pressure, or excitement, I would have lost both goods and capital.

In business, emotion is expensive. Wisdom and structure will save you from tears.
Thank God for saving you. But how did you then dismiss the guy?

What you are saying is different from the real issue at hand.

Is the schedule receipt different from the real receipt?

What to note here is the differences between the fake and the original receipt as pointed out by the op.

The space gaps between the word"Transaction receipt" and "access" and also the font used in the access are the differences apart from the session id

Don't get people confused,

They have this app they call Raven ithink it is like all this fintech banks. One can actually send money to you and then after sometime retract it.. You'd get notification of payment but as soon as they leave you they'd retract(don't know if iam using the right term) the funds

One just have to be careful out there
that's why it is good to have your bank app on your phone.

Let me show you one of the ways I spotted the 2.1 million fake alert

1. The fonts
2. No session ID
3. Under the beneficiary, they messed it up too

The two receipts looks alike right?

Well, it's same Joe...minor difference

Ok now let's go deeper

Aside from the session ID

Check the font of the access bank beside the logo

Compare the original with the fake receipt

Secondly

Did you all see the space between the Transaction receipt and generated from access more?

The space in the fake is closer than the original

Did you grab it?
Now you've coached them, they will do better. 🤷

Some alerts are so fake that you'll see the money reflecting on your bank app. Go ask ndi me afia that deals on heavy transactions daily if they have time to confirm
It's not possible for fake alert to reflect on your bank app unless it was credited by the bank officials themselves which we can't call fake, I am sure it's their regular business partners/customers not a new face plus some build trust and disappoint themselves later, a business owner has to be vigilant in these times.

They can't fake these..
Don't rely on alerts especially for funds entering thousands of naira

It's disheartening that crime has gotten to a level that an oversight can lead to loss of millions.
Years ago a customer deposited a cheque into a company's account. It appeared on the statement of account and the naive account officer gave it value not taking note of the value date, she authorised the release of goods to the customer. And two days later the bank reversed the money, that the cheque was spurious. They are yet to catch the fraudsters. Please let me careful and always check value date and not transaction date. SMS alert is not enough for payment confirmation. Always check the App. In fact for big amounts of money always get a second opinion.

Which one be transaction receipt? Like are you supposed to send out your goods without first confirming the money inside your account? I mean goods of 2 million??

Well, me I no dey ask for receipt o. Once you send any money to me, I go first transfer the money into another account of mine and if successful, then I will acknowledge it, otherwise no deal yet.
Transferring the money immediately can be very risky.
You can receive transfer from a kidnapper using a victims account.

I've seen such scenario play out and it didn't really end well cry

For every transaction ID or session ID, the date and time of the transaction must reflect in them. For the original receipt, you can see that the date and time is in both the transaction & session ID. Every transaction is mostly tracked by dates and time. Sometimes the account number might reflect in the transaction ID for some Banks. Even for international transactions through swift, you will most likely see the date and time reflect in the transaction ID.
