You guys really need to stop comparing me with my fellow South Africans on this forum because we all get trolled the same way, but it's how we react to the trolls that is different ... To each his own... I just don't have the energy to be entertaining trolls because some of them are just determined to troll and derail every thread by a South African on this forum, one of them is already here on this thread... You'd spend hours bantering with them today, only for them to bring up the same issue on a different thread tomorrow with the intention of trolling you all over again and the more you give them attention, it's the more they'll keep coming... I'm sure most of them are fighting their own demons and looking for who to take out their frustrations on and we South Africans happen to be an easy target on this forum, because if you check their comment history, you'd find that they also go around the forum trolling even their fellow Nigerians... I don't have the time to be dancing to a broken record that keeps getting played on repeat...😃😃😃

Even if we get married and we're both initiated, it's still forbidden to discuss about it with your significant other... It's a cultural norm and we're used to it... Men know when not to ask questions and same goes for the ladies... It's a rite to passage practice even though it doesn't have an age limit.

Well, some of us don't mind with Zulu people getting international recognition because one thing that I've learnt about being the dominate tribe is that you'll always be catching stray bullets from all over the place... grin grin grin

A Pedi, Tsonga, or Swati person might do something and other people outside of SA with immediately target innocent Zulus without asking questions... grin grin grin
A gift and a curse

Thanks for your answers

Limpopo has three tribes, Pedi or Sepedi, Venda, and Tsonga... But Pedi is the dominant tribe... As for Master Kg's tribe, apartheid did them dirty by classifying their tribe as a Pedi dialect since it was a minority and had some grammatical relations with the Pedi language even though they culturally relate more with the Venda people.

So they had no choice but to adopt Pedi names, surnames and Pedi language as their official language, they also do Pedi in school as their home language while still preserving their indigenous language, khelobedu... There's still an ongoing debate as to whether it should be recognised as an independent tribe or should remain as a Pedi dialect.

Politically they're recognised as Pedis, but culturally they identify as Balobedu... So I always get confused in terms of classifying them because I don't want to offend anyone.

And before I recommend to you the top three Limpopian music, do you have any Nike wear?😅😅😅
What I'm passing through isn't a matter of Nike design. I'm trying to stay afloat in the stormy sea of life. Music is my therapy for now. Abeg, recommend your top 3 Limpopian music apart from Master KG.
There's this song titled Forever by Sithelo Ft Skyewanda...I too like that song. I'll be glad if you can also recommend songs of such genre.

Yhoo! I have a lot of Limpopian music favourites and it's gonna be difficult for me to choose... I'll make them four because you've really put me in a tough space.

1. Sebetsi( a worker) by Shebeshxt ft Karishma and Tribby Wadi Bhozza... It's in Sepedi

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzg8sFvlvjE?si=19bf88ZrpSZyVpMV

2. Shapa bell( ring the bell) by Naleboy ft Shandesh... It's in Sepedi.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0NwRrJXpxE?si=MxrlqX_DiaNp8gVR

3. Areyeng(let's go) by Kaycherlow... It's in Sepedi

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwbWix7X79Q?si=aXHbPVLwwsQ5sEnE

4. Mapara(tycoons) by Makhadzi... You can't talk about lekompo music and not mention Makhadzi, she's a Limpopian Venda, but she's singing in both Sepedi and Venda in this song.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rySJ2Cm5xwc?si=npeybIHaglfb0BhJ

As for the song you mentioned by Sithelo, it's a house song and I've never really been a fan of house music... Like I can count a number of house songs that I've liked in the past ten years, they're not that many, but I'll recommend them to you anyways...😅😅😅

1. Deeper by Holly Rey

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN3nurfwWHk?si=Ax6chowwD0aY6HAm

2. Collide by Lady Zamar

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OeMjLVCGJs?si=OuCC2URC5mlTXytg

3. Thandolwethu( our love ) by Mafikizolo... It's in Zulu and Sotho.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9MspZC5S1o?si=6kkjOYyNb4BA7X7M

4. Mamela( listen ) by Mi Casa... The chorus is in Zulu.

I downloaded those songs 3 days ago, but was so distracted to listen to them until this evening. Here's my conclusion:
I'm today officially declaring that SA House Music is among my best music genre. I enjoyed those wonderful songs to be candid, @ Samantha125. My best Limpopian song therein is:

While I enjoyed all House Music songs especially:

In my musical journey, I've gone beyond understanding a song's lyrics before enjoying it. Music is beyond language. For instance, the song: Welela by Miriam Makeba was a repetition of same lyrical line in Xhosa. Not up to two sentences, yet, I'm addicted to it.

Check out this particular song with its storyline although you didn't ask for it.

It's an Ethiopian music, but great touching jamz.
