Pls I'm seeking advice. I studied Environmental Technology for my first degree and I'm planning to pursue a Master's degree in Canada. I've been told I can pursue any course for my Master's regardless of my first degree, so I'm looking for recommendations on courses with good job prospects that can enhance my chances of staying in Canada after graduation. Any suggestions?

My experience learning French was that I improved quickly in two ways:

- one on one speaking, online with a native speaker, I was referred through Alliance Francais. If you have the funds for that they are usually reasonable and you will make rapid improvement. Two hours a week for 6 months and you will feel close to fluent, helps your confidence a lot.

- reading French books. Often overlooked by learners, there are second hand books stores in Lagos for sure that I know that have French books, start simple and work up. Good thing about reading is that you can have the dictionary by your side and many French words are similar to English.

I am not yet in the Express Entry system. I am trying to get my bachelor's degree assessed by WES (World Education Service). The process is: my university sends WES a copy of my transcript, then WES sends a confirmation to my university and finally my university sends a reply back to WES.

That is how WES assesses people's degrees, the transcript is NOT for me. My university hasn't sent it to WES even after I paid in November 17th 2023. I already have a copy of my transcript on which it is written "not for official use". The issue is my university sending the transcript to the WES address, which I have already provided to them, by courier.

The process is the same for all non-Canadian degrees/diplomas/certificates. WES has to assess it before it can be accepted in the Express Entry system.

EDIT: FUTA has finally sent my transcript (digitally) to WES.

Please has anyone recently done a diploma at the Nigerian French Language Village Badagry, I Plan on starting their one year diploma in French by January. I also want to know if 12 month is enough to learn French and write the TEF exam. PS: I'm an absolute beginner.
