A member of the House of Representatives, Oluwole Oke, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party.

Oke, a six-term lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, said he decided to leave the PDP after consulting with his political associates, friends, and family members.

His resignation letter, which was sighted by PUNCH Online, was dated April 16, 2025 and addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 7, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State.

Oke also confirmed his resignation to our correspondent in a brief telephone interview on Wednesday.

“I have resigned from the PDP,” he said.

However, the lawmaker did not disclose his next political move, even as he urged his loyalists and supporters to leave the PDP and await his next direction.

If fuel subsidy has been removed since Buhari era, Oyetola will have done extremely well in infrastructures, Human capacity development and health infrastructures in Osun State. Upon the huge and fat Allocation Adeleke is collecting presently, even the recruits youth corp members he inaugurated are collecting #30k monthly. Very low to the huge inflation in the market. Adeleke isn’t even paying #70k to them. Very bad.

Governor Adeleke is behaving like a greenhorn. His own election comes first before the general election, yet he is already playing politics to unseat an experienced grassroots Politician. His advisers are not helping him at all. Politics is a game of numbers, win your own election first, then play your cards later

PDP crisis has been on for so long. It seems they want to lose all their members to APC.
