Hi Guys ! After AOR is received, I would like to know where exactly do one attach the AOR while applying for Spousal sponsorship Visit visa? Where will one mention the AOR in the TRV application ? so Ircc can be aware?? I'll appreciate a response.

Yeah I responded within a week of getting the pfl. Three weeks after, that's 1st of April, I saw a ghost update. Since then no response.

I received pfl too still waiting to hear from them.

How long is your application now ? Coz mine is now going to 15 months. I intend bombarding them with webforms every week starting from next week. Coz my tired is tired. 🥲

Mine is going to 14 months yes you can do that.

We contacted a couple of lawyers in Canada and the amount they were asking were exorbitant.

So we had to do it ourself. We wrote the letter in response to pfl, attached all our pictures in a chronological order from when we met to our wedding , to the birth of our child. Attached exported WhatsApp chats from like 5 years ago till date, get two friends to write notarized attestation letter and even attached pictures with us at various events , attached proof of my husband visit to Nigeria, statement of account etc...

How did you do yours?

Same here oo. I followed the same process gave them enough evidence. Thou my own is just proof of ongoing communication.

Please is there any whatsapp group for spousal sponsorship

So for the spousal sponsorship, the PR application portal seems the same, do the sponsor and the principal applicant(sponsored) both apply on the portal separately? Or it's just one application created by the principal applicant?

It was the MP that even called us about 3 weeks ago that they've received the documents and they are working on it. And since then no update yet

My eligibility(as the principal applicant) is showing completed BTW while background check which is the last stage is showing in-progress. What of yours?

It's just one application portal.

Same here oo my eligibility was completed before i received pfl. Which one is BTW? I don't understand that. Your eligibility completed after or before pfl? Please can you please share where the link where you get your mp information from please i have search everywhere i can't find mine.

Yes same here. Eligibility completed . Pfl the following day.

Then for your MP, you'll search the internet for the MP in your area and get their email address. That's what we did. We got his email address on the internet, sent him a mail and they responded and been communicating since then.

You can look at going for a visit visa in the main time, I did the same and got approved after 2 weeks while still waiting for spousal sponsorship.

This was actually for my wife but I did the application myself, I used both my Nigerian bank statement and foreign statement for POF(she’s not working so I stated that I’ll be sponsoring her trip) . For documents , we used normal documents you’d need for a visitor visa(letter of invitation , proof of relationship and the rest )

Don’t forget to explain in the letter that you have an ongoing spousal application (include the application number and your UCI number) and make sure you state clearly your plans and timeline of your proposed visit. Once you’re in on visit visa, you can then apply for OWP(see the picture attached from official government website)

I'm considering doing the same. But do you think it's advisable considering my application is almost 16 months and I got a PFL..? I'm scared I might be rejected. But there's no harm in trying sha since it's just 100 dollars for the application.
