Peter Obi who became known nationally when because Etiku nominated him as Vice president all of a sudden thinks he is more popular or better than Etiku. The Etiku too was too full of himself to think logically that he only got those votes in 2019 because it was a hausa/Fulani verses hausa/Fulani as he knows that even if he picked an Igbo man Emeka selling nails from yan lemu market in Kano he would still have gotten that same vote. Peter Obi is a nonentity in national politics, he doesn't even know how to play national politics as a tribal politician that he was and still is despite the online noises.

I hope the Nairaland bot will not ban me for mentioning Peter Obi name as I have observed that that draws a ban now.

No combination or Permutation can win the presidential election for those two. Atiku over over estimates himself, he feels Nigerians owe him the presidency, hence he contest even when power sharing formula doesn't favor him. He is solely responsible for the rot in PDP, his ambition has brought more harm than good to the party. His inability to manage diverse opinions that doesn't align with his means he would forever remain an aspirant.

That's his Major undoing as for Obi, is the fact that his kinfolks potray him as a saint, the Holiest of holy, a Man without blemish, makes it nauseating. I mean everyone has a past, mistakes are made, man up, take responsibility, but no, they make him a saint while still living. You don't see Atiku spend so much time denying stealing public funds while in office, via privatization and other schemes probably nor Tinubu denying having narcotics case in the US. Not saying any of those things are good anyway, but a pretence is something deadly. And that's what Obi does

Obi will not be getting that office. Atiku can try again in 2031 when the South might have completed their 8 years in power

Lagos and Osun. Rumours had it that ekiti didn't vote him but he rigged it during the time server was shut down by the inec, same with Ondo. The votes obi got in lagos was more than what was declared. They reduced it to size, in likewise rivers. Those in the apc who had left him for coalition talks already knew how it played out. Elrufa,fayrmi,aregbe are among them. They'd ensure every loophole is blocked this time.
