It is just a case of you owe a friend then you borrow money from another friend to clear the debt, then you are now owing the other friend, and the cycle continues

One of the reasons you will know Nigerians have low IQ is expecting Tinubu to turn the economic situation of Nigeria around in under one or two years which is impossible.

Nigeria was ending to doom before but now everything has turned out for better with the reforms of Tinubu.

Better developed countries like China, Japan even South Africa etc didn't just get there in a single year or two. It took being consistent with reforms and policies for decades, the fact that Tinubu reforms have already achieved so much already showed we are going in the right directions.

Obi presidency would have been so catastrophic for Nigeria, if you think Tinubu presidency is hard then Obi presidency would have been hell because he have no balls to take the necessary risks for this country to move forward.

These Obi supporters also supported Donald Trump now Americans are crying and wailing online about how disastrous Donald Trump is

Effect of subsidy removal. They receive more funds, so they can pay their debts.

Look at how dry the thread is... If the thread is about the states and the FCT debt increasing now, e go don reach like page 10. Wailers and losers won't let us hear word
Re: FCT, 16 States Reduced External Debt In 18 Months by Engrduke: 8:20am On Apr 25, 2025
This is actually expected from our tiers of government.

Subsidy removal has made more funds available for governance.

We have to mount more pressure on our state governor's so they don't embark on White Elephant projects.

Effect of Tinubu reform. Nigeria will be better repositioned before Tinubu 8years.

When you see the Governors bowing to Mr President and wanting to be on the same side with him, now you know why. It is what novices wailing on social media do not understand.

Why are you surprised?. The only reason they are angry and bitter is because it is not their own man in power.

What I find amazing is how you guys want to deceive people with propaganda and lies. First of all these states are clearly on a deficit budget, so tell me how they would fund these budgets without borrowing. You just showed people half of the real financial situation of the states by the time this budget year ends the loans taken to finance their deficits will be added.

They are external debts. They didn't borrow it in naira. So it makes sense that is represented in USD

Oga stop deceiving people and saying kiss the truth whereas you are a bouquet of lies.
You only showed a part of the real financial situation. These states are all on deficits and will definitely finance these deficits with loans, when this budget year ends the total loan taken will be added to their debt profile, this part you cleverly hid from people

He can't turn it around after two years but fan reduce GDP from 377 billion dollars to 188 billion dollars under 2 years?

Some of you are not well honestly

Obi presidency would have been catastrophic coming from someone who supported Buhari and Tinubu? Honestly your choices shows you are not the right person to trust when choice of who to Govern is made
Re: FCT, 16 States Reduced External Debt In 18 Months by nairalanda1(m): 9:04am On Apr 25, 2025
It doesn't matter.

This year's budget was based on oil being above 75 dollar per barrel. The current oil price is below that. So, loans will be taken whether we like it or not.

Also , we need oil to be above 130 dollars per barrel to balance our budget. The oil price is lower than that,so loans have to be taken

Even with the 75 dollar benchmark, a deficit of 13 trillion was factored into this year's budget. More loans to be taken

The above table is an exercise in self deceit. Yes debts be paid thanks to subsidy removal freeing up more money, but it does not mean that we will stop taking loans

Until we cure our dutch disease. Tinubu does not have the medication and is just continuing on the same old same old.

I pity Nigeria

And no, obi or atiku are not the answer either..obi was saying he would borrow to pay subsides. Hahahaha

There's inconsistency in the report. You can't reduce and increase at the same time frame. Unless increase and reduction have another meaning unknown to us.
