Well, I'm just thinking like a contented and naive citizen ni jare. I feel by all standard Obasa is already made as far as financial wealth is concerned.

If I was in his shoes, I will be looking out for the day my boy will be appointed MD of a Nigerian Bank, country manager of International company, Partner at a big 4, etc. I will be looking out for my son doing well in the field he has chosen , not shoe-horning him into politics like he's doing.
greed is good sucka! cheesy cheesy

You underestimate the extent some people are ready to take trolling. I was on nairaland during the peak of trolling, and I know how far trolls can go.
It's only when you're a trouble maker or always Insulting others on nairaland you worry about trolls getting back at you. Ibime and Dayo that are amongst the oldest here how many trolls have gone after them plus blueray.dick, Afrodoc and others.

Iamoyindamola this is that Obasa’s son that people’s grabdfather “begging” to run for Agege LGA chairman .

Sometimes I don’t understand Nigerian politicians and their greed/quest for more and more power sha .

This boy has a bright future in the corporate world going by his educational background and professional career progression thus far. The guy’s professional record is impressive to be honest .

Why can’t Obasa the father continue being a politician and allow the boy continue to tow the professional career path he has already embarked on ? Like why must the boy be dragged into politics now now ?
Are you joking with billions of embezzlement

it's been 2-3 years he had a hit Sha. What he do now is jump on trending songs. He won't still get number 1 in Nigeria, Wizkid/Ayra and Davido/Omah Lay will block Laho 2
With Laho popularity already none of those songs can top it.

And with way way less work. He won't have to do 1/4 of the work he needs do in private as a politician to get the same wealth.

A boy that grew up seeing his father pile astronomical wealth from what's a pretty modest position in the grand scheme of things would likely have had his sight on such pursuits.

In fact, with his little experience in private sector, he's done more than enough to rise to whatever level is needed politically.

Burna jumping on Laho remix is a big win for Shallipopi, regardless of how the remix performs.

I'm happy for the kid, he's proof that sometimes all that's needed is the guts to bet on yourself and pray the stars align.

It's not. Burna boy adds nothing to Laho, It's already a banging hit. An international artist to spread it to more demographic would have been a win not Burna.

Burna is an international artiste one of the biggest from Africa

Some people just listen to Burna and from there they know about Shalipoppi. Another foreign artiste might from the Burna remox feel Shalipoppi i good enough to collabo with

I'm looking at it from clout within the Nigerian space, as regards collaborations and whatnot. If international artiste no come, Burna is the next best thing, and he has pull more than some of these international artistes sef.

Well, to be fair he didn't just get employed based on connection at Parallex, I believe he was employed based on his experience and achievement on the job at Providus. He seem a young talent who can hold his own in the corporate world irrespective of who his father is.

The way he detailed his resume with achievement is enough to get him that job.

His family's influence may help him meet marketing target, but it won't help him do his core job responsibility.
Nope he is definitely there by connection

Hertfordshire Uni is one of the worst in UK, you can get there with 2 Es at A Level, a lot of my street niggas went there after flopping at A Levels. Aston Uni is also poor but at Masters Level, it's more about what you're willing to pay than the strength of the Uni so Masters are generally accepted regardless of Uni.

He can hardly get into PWC in UK from those unis and note he doesn't list his grade in those degrees, nor the A Level grades that would have got him there. If someone makes a 1st or 2.1, they usually declare their grade

In addition he has a BSc and MSc in Accounting but no Chartership, he is a baby accountant with barely entry level knowledge. The work history are Nepo achievements. He barely did 10 months at PWC which is not good for your grounding, typically one would expect a minimum of 2 years at PWC to get a full grounding. This CV is just a Nepo CV. he just took the next opportunity that his pops connections could get for him at any time before he was ripe

Nigerian companies will employ u even if na the worst UK university u graduate from, so he doesn't actually need his father's name to get a job in any top Nigerian company. His stint at PWC is more of an internship, he probably chose to portray it like it was a regular employment just to lure his prospective employers.

What I am more concerned with is the fact that he actually performed well on the Job at Providus bank that Parallex employ him and made him head to lead a team which he has also been doing.

I may not be a fan of his papa but I don't think Nepo got the boy where he currently is; the boy sef dey try for himself

Davido and other haters might start blocking and blacklisting Shallipoppi in Nigeria. Las Las na Nigeria Shallipoppi eats from so he needs to make sure he is good in his home market and on good terms with all the DJs and radio stations

Las last he is in a sales job. So long as his father has friends which they feel he can potentially convince to move accounts, opportunities go plenty for am for banking sector. No be say him wise or anything

Tokunbo Abiru actually resigned from Polaris bank to contest for Lagos East senatorial district bye election after Senator Osinowo(pepperito) died during Covid-19.

I know say politics is lucrative , but I just dey reason say maybe the boy himself actually prefer the corporate world but daddy wants him to follow in his footsteps at all cost.
