Some are even talking nonsense of "Gov can't afford band A, so how can we, bla bla bla" Like are we all mad in Nigeria FOCUS on the 47 billion spent on electricity bill |

So at the Band A price, it means they use 214 Million units a year? That’s 214 Million KiloWatt Hour a year!!!! That’s roughly 20 million units of electricity a month? 20 Million KWH a month? If an average Nigerian household of 3 bedroom flats runs 3 ACs of 1.5HP each and 2 freezers 24hrs a day for 30 days NIN-stop, they won’t consume 1,000 units. So that roughly means ASO rock uses electricity of 20,000 households on uninterrupted electricity per month (20,000,000 /1,000 =20,000 ) or more like 60,000 average Nigerian households who have 8 hrs of electricity per day every day with no failure!! Even the highest electricity consumers in electricity being steel plants that use electric arc furnaces for melting steel have not used 1% of that sef in a year I spit on their corruption! At this rate, where is the hope for Nigeria? Renewed Hope? All those Efulefus who come out and say people are speaking I’ll if their country won’t say a word now! |

I have worked in companies before. Aso rock may not be lying about spending 47billion on electricity bills, cos a lot of people are stealing the money making Aso rock spend carelessly on electricity I know where I did my NYSC, the company buys diesel to buyer generator. Normally diesel that will cost around 400k, the supplier will inflate the price to 1m and the company will pay cos they buy in bulk, and the person responsible for signing the money will inflate too, at the end of the day the company will spend such amount on diesel, the director no fit again, he had to install solar panel This is why democracy is expensive as fvck, everybody wan take their share of the cake |

My dear now is that the yearly maintenance of this solar farm will start costing over 5b annually 😂😂😂😂 Don't ask me how.... Because when they take it to the rubber stamp NASS. the Iyees will always have it |

Bobodee09:Guy, there’s no way on earth that all of them combined will use such amount of electricity based off what this calculated. Let’s always take a pause and reason things through and not believe all what these people say. |

YoshiMaster:Aso rock is over 20 times bigger than white house Aguda house Nigerian equivalent of white house is just a small fraction of aso rock... Aso rock is bigger than any university in nigeria... There is a spail military unit called Presidential guard inside aso rock Over 10,000 people work and live inside |
| Re: How Can Aso Rock Electricity Bill Be 47 Billion Yearly? by Agbegbaorogboye: 7:58am On Apr 26, 2025 |
richmond500:Your company is simply being run by incompetent people who are as corrupt as the Aso rock occupants if not worse. The price of diesel is not hidden. It's readily and publicly available info so if the supplier has the nerve to inflate it by over 100%, it's probably because he's aware of the culture of waste in your company and is in cahoots with the fraudsters embedded therein So your analogy actually buttresses the point of this thread not excuse it Those in government are massively corrupt just as those in your company So don't blame democracy for the corruption. Other countries that have democracy don't inflate prices and contracts |
