Seriously getting harrased by that anti-spam when you didn't do anything is annoying, it's like introduction of online Sars and local agbero on NL, I wonder the criteria for getting blocked by that Wike-like bot. Here is my suggestion for Nairaland 1.The block button: I think if you add feature of blocking and unblocking someone from accessing my account button, it will be good, most people left Nairaland cos of abuse and harassment from some persons, people should be able to block and unblock those persons at will. 2.like and unlike feature and it's consequence Honestly most nuisance here do so just for likes, a like and unlike button is good, as u can have +ve likes, u could also have -ve likes. An accumulated negative likes of -200 should have some consequence or will hinder you from accessing some options on Nairaland, then -300 likes will make the punishment more severe, then maybe -400 likes will lock u from accessing Nairaland for days, this will help in curbing the negative comments on tribalism, ethnicity, Tinubu-ism and Obi-dentism it could bring sanity to the thread, you sef go reason twice before u say what will downvote ur comment. 3. Private message button having a DM part where I can discuss privately with someone will be fun. If I like someone and our discussion clicked, I can easily private chat, cos I am tired of going to a dead thread just to get someone's attention without being provoked by awon redpillers. Imagine the forum has no lady for meaningful discussion cos few years ago there was a moniker called mosdii shouting "all girls are useless" and he was having likes that encourage him to do so, alot of misguided people joined him. Now all the girls don go and I no fit find love, there are people that found love in NL some years ago before the redpill age, me sef don ready to settle down and na for NL I want find my achalugo |

Your suggestions are good but the number 2 can be abused or used against an adversary |

Celestialsword:that is why I said -200 likes. Who will want to go against u and unlike ur post +200 times without having it cancelled out by other monikers +ve likes? |

richmond500:some people have more than one moniker |

Celestialsword:Though in the beginning, people will use it to fight those they hate but they will eventually get tired. At most they will have 5 accounts if they are very jobless. And u can't log on all 5 to dislike someone's comment up to 200 without having it cancelled by other monikers. It's difficult for one person to have 200 dislikes, if u got that, then u be hoodlum. Moreover it's just a suggestion |

I think the anti spam bot is improving. The banning is just 30 mins if mistakenly banned by the anti spam bot The trolling, the attacking, the insult have reduced since the new anti spam bot was introduced . People now chose their words as they wouldn't want to be banned unnecessary. I have been having peace of mind from those trollers as I dont even see half of their attacking on my comments In Mc Oluomo',s voice, Kundus to Seun.. ![]() |
