So, it's weekend tomorrow and I had a course to enter First Bank for a business tax payment yesterday for my boss. So the thought crossed my mind after I was told there was no network that "come o, when was even the last time I used my commercial bank to dispense cash'

I can't even tell where I placed my debit card at home. Because you can't confidently go to the bank ATM stand when you need a cash.

Thanks to mini bank (pos). And this lack of service never stopped these banks from debiting your accounts every now and then for ATM services. How!!!! When

My concern is that govt are really not doing anything about this long time financial injustice. We seriously need our banks back?

Pos is corruption by the banks. Those POS machines are from the banks too. They collabo with bank staff

Of course, every one knows this now. Our people has legally monetized the usage of pos and some of our immediate family or friends now use that as a major source of income. But govt is saddled with responsibilities to regulate all this to a minimal level. Our debit card is useless if it can't dispense cash. And I feel the deduction of ATM services should be per usage

ATMs are easy to use, no stress.

Just give it to the vendor and let her start the stressing herself , just is just to put the pin and continue watching ur Facebook reels

I think shortly before the 2023 elections when there was chronic cash scarcity.

Zenith have been billing for years for the ATM that expired long time

The last time I used atm properly was few months after covid. Even if you try to use it, it won't dispense any cash. POS, though helps to reduce stress of going to bank ATM, it doesn't speak well of a big economy like ours.

Trust me banks dont like pos machine they r loosing money and customers to this microfinance bank...

I was actually asking myself that question yesterday. I just make transfers and get my money. Gbam!

With electronic banking where everyone who has a phone can use MTN Momo Microfinance Banking payment options even in remote areas?

Why do we focus on cash so much in this country?

In places as close as Kenya, most payments are virtual. The locals ask for your Pesa or so to transfer money freely. There should be less pressure on paper cash. That's the way to go.

Commercial banks all have various digital payment options. All major businesses have account numbers which can receive digital payments. So what's the craze about POS or ATM?

Well it’s over 5yrs I used an ATM and I can’t even tell when last I used a physical ATM card.

i use pos machine whenever I need cash cause I've never been to the bank in my life matey 😊

I only keep my ATM card because of some online transactions that require card details .
