let the arm of the law comes fast! Can I drop my contact? It will surprise you that you will never see anything incriminating in my lifestyle. Seeing what people are going through while some politicians are looting freely is what inspired my comment. As much as you didn’t kill anyone, yahoo is not a serious crime, anyone caught should just receive 7 strokes of Cain and should be set free unconditional
And the people who commit suicide because they have lost their life savings to yahoo boys? Or are because of blackmail from these same criminals? So killing people is no longer a serious crime?

these ones don't understand that in trumps america, they are a prime target. they are what his base wants to see - niggers form third world countries caught for endangering white children. anyone who is caught is going to seriously hear it . easy wins for patel and a convenient distraction from all the other rubbish being done

Others are exporting technology, raw materials and finished goods but Nigerian youths are exporting crime because they want to live large and flex/ball in clubs etc angry angry angry angry angry
Yes o clubs operated by people like Obi cubana and co. Then they come online and shout support for Peter Obi who has no business that employs youth or any project that gives youths a platform to become self reliant. He just wants them to support to be president without having done anything to support youths throughout his political career.

I just hope Nigeria is making the extradition of these criminals easy for the FBI to bring them to justice ASAP. And FBI should seek the highest punishment for these criminals and make them suffer in jail too.

Blackmailing and kidnapping are the same wicked crimes.

These ones too will be on social media complaining about how Nigerian political leaders are the problem of Nigeria. How bad they are and you know what....
The leaders and the rest of the population are all corrupt, until we accept that, we.are.just fooling ourselves.
In as much as I do not take side with these criminals we should also look critically into what lead to this madness in the first place, have you seen a Canadian citizen doing fraud in this mass population as we see in Nigeria? A country where minimum wage can’t even buy bag of rice, the govt failed the youths by not creating and enabling environment for them to strive or giving job opportunities let’s face the reality of poverty brewing in this country no place in the world where schools and other institutions produce graduates and no jobs for them na bad govt lead to this plague of corruption and fraud among youths

FBI has taken a tough stance on these sextortion scams. In fact, they sent a delegate team that is currently in Lagos, Nigeria to collaborate with local law enforcement on the investigations and arrests.

Some nigerians are doing serious damage to the image of this country. Let them face the full wrath equivalent to to fate of the victim.

Just as I stated previously, you are missing the main issue here.
Canadians don't do such crime on large scale partly because they have different orientation with different ethics , morals and value system.
The average Canadian doesn't think like we do and they don't attach such desperation to money and material things as we do.
Most the guys arrested here don't live in Nigeria, they already in an environment that allows them to get good education, skills and good job. But has that stopped them from trying to be rich overnight?
No, it has not. That is the real problem of Nigeria that a lot of you don't want to accept.
There's inate appetite for fraud and get rich quick quick in our DNA, it permeate everything in the society. From the mechanic on the street to the political leaders.
But people will rather just blame the political leaders for everything while they are also engaged in the same corrupt practices may be at a lower level.

I don't know who's to share the lion's blame between the perpetrators and the victims. Obviously, the victims aren't just gullible but extremely foolish because what's so hard in following the golden rule of online dating: 'Never send money to anyone you've never met physically'
Not when you think you're talking to one of your own nearby you.

Plus they are kids between 14 - 17 years.

They're vulnerable.

Even adults of 40years and above fall for obvious scam talk more of teenagers.

Dont blame the victim, blame the thief.

They're kids, minors. Being deceived by adult males posing as females of the same age as them, taking time to build trust with over time, sending female nudes to them just to get them to send their own nudes back in exchange. Then, blackmail starts immediately

because what's so hard in following the golden rule of online dating: 'Never send money to anyone you've never met physically'
Obviously, you didn't understand subject what you read. It wasn't about sending money but nude pics

He's collaborating with the FBI. After he was picked, he snitched on his associates for reduced sentence.
Besides, he scammed institutions, not individuals. So, no one died.
These boys will be treated how they treat child molesters in jail.
How are you sure no one died?

The way you people reason ehn 😂

Leader ke. ?

When you can move a large amount of money from these scams, far more than someone doing legit work, even if we have good leader,.people will still engage in it.

Even in saner climes, people do similar crimes.

Nothing like the lure of quick money

And the society support and celebrate same criminals.

People like Hushpuppi have more people looking up to him than Okonjo Iweala.

The society itself fuels the crime.

Being a yahoo boy is a flex in the country.

I’m actually speaking for those who are in Nigeria without any source of income as for those who have managed to travel abroad and still dwell in such money heist it means there’s something wrong with their mentality an average citizen abroad believe in working for their money, majority of our youths their thinking is wired to this mentality of getting rich quicker and which is really bad, I can never support fraud or take side with anyone doing such, most of them constantly convinced themselves that fraud or scamming people is a legal thing but it can never be
