The term church when is being referred to a building is in itself a fraud so it not about turning church into den of thieves. The very temple that God gave its design Himself which these churches are trying to emulate was turned into a den of thieves so much so that a gentle Jesus was enraged and flogged the mammon out of the thieves.

Wealth is not what one should boast about. It can vanish at any moment.

Since all they do is stand on the pulpit and beg for money, they actually believe that people are rich and pretending to be poor.

Poverty is not a mentality thing. Alot of people can't afford to eat or provide themselves with the basic things of life. They must have done all they could but the help isn't coming. In most cases, the constantly put efforts until they leave that level of poverty. Other times they perish trying to accomplish their dreams.
