I'm not a fan of this govt but to be honest we have same quantity here in most supermarkets here in Germany. It's called buy the quantity you can eat. It's got nothing to do with the economy.

Everything must always be linked to poverty. What if the target buyers of such bread are those living alone and can't finish one big loaf of bread at a sitting? Some people don't like refridgerated or bread of more 2 days, those are the people that kind of bread is meant for not necessarily poor people. Bread was displayed in a supermarket not a roadside stall, are you saying customers of that supermarket are too broke to afford ₦1,500-2000 for a standard loaf of bread?

Why are Nigerians like this. Bazaar super market is located in ilupeju. This issue of half slice has been the super market practice for a very long time. When I first shop there in 2015 I was surprised to see such, no be today the half slice thing don deh e don deh.
