My assumption was he'd surrender his party machinery and abstain from the PDP without necessarily making it official, but to defect so openly...omor. No greater L has been served Atiku than this, not even his previous election losses.

People block each other because they don’t want to see each other’s contents ; it’s that simple .

It’s just like choosing not to see Reno Omokri’s GBA takes on issues ; it’s one’s prerogative to block him. It’s the same way u can decide not to see some people’s status on WhatsApp simply because they don’t post things that u really think u should be seeing on ur timeline . There are some people whom by virtue of u saving their number u see pornnn on ur timeline ; would u say one is being immature if he decides to mute such people’s status view or block them completely ?

There’s no big deal blocking anybody on any social media platform ; it’s basically controlling the content you feed on.

My message was a response to semid4lyfe's comment about a fellow who abandoned this thread due to the mental stress he claimed to have suffered from other contributors.
If you excommunicate yourself from a thread with fewer than 1,000 contributors because their opinions cause you mental stress, how can you cope with apps like Twitter, news channels, and other media platforms that host millions of contributors?

No matter how good your contributions are, not everyone will agree with you. And no matter how bad, wicked, or even devilish your behavior is, there will still be some people who support and follow you.

Anyone who thinks everything he posts on social media will be accepted by everyone, without criticism then he or she have a weak mentality.
If opinions on Nairaland don't align with yours and you leave, only to find that opinions on Twitter don't match either and you leave again, and the same happens elsewhere and you leave then perhaps the problem lies not with the platforms but with your ability to cope.
Such a person might need to check his or her mental health.

donj has always been overly passionate and a guy who takes things too far. but he is the exception, not the rule. he went way too far in trying to turn this into a movie fight between good and evil with him fully invested in his illusion of the hero of the story. so here we are.
