It depends on the type of work schedule of the parents, if both of them are busy type, there is nothing wrong to give a teenager a non-android phone to get firsthand information when you are not home

Like me , when they want to write waec or jamb I do buy small phone and give them a sim. When entry into school on admissions I gave them android. They must sua go to institutions with 2 phones. Tanasobe and Pablo phone

You are right. I give my children phones when they have admission into a university. You get admission, I give you phone same week your name appears on the portal.

Not that they don't use phones but they don't own it.

Not sure but for my kids, I would think maybe when they get to grades 6 or 9. I think it depends on how matured they are at that time.

my good habits they inherited na inbuilt so nurturing from outside has little or no effect on them.

After high school exam. The best option.
You can give them no-internet enabled phone though when still schooling (Nokia touch for example)

At age where she can use it for academic purposes.As long as it school works on it only,no issue.

There must be no social mad they are( social media)

Once your child hits 1yr, give him or her a phone, device, computer. Just make sure you introduce your child to electronics in an earlier stage. It will help dem get into the cyber/computer world on time and without stress!

You can use OpenDNS and set blocker to any platform they shouldn't use , you can control it from your phone as well
