The foreign exchange act and ban of using dollars in Nigeria is very good, this will help naira strengthen. We must enforce this law and ban spending of dollars in Nigeria, they don't spend naira in America...this will reduce demand in dollars in Nigeria, and reduce its value over naira over time, this of course with other measures, like improved exports to correct our balance of trade deficit, and having international trade agreements with nations, so we pay for imports with naira, and they pay us in their currency for our exports.

We need to see more convictions of political office holders who embezzle state and national funds. EFCC scrutinize the governors and ministers/head of parastatals, use your resources to go after more important cases.

Foreign exchange act. Ban on spending dollars in Nigeria.
Re: Naira abuse: EFCC Arrests E-money by 2mch(m): 12:43pm On Apr 29, 2025
I like this new law. Spraying money made a lot of people commit crimes so they can also be seen to spray large amounts of money. Some even go into crime to rob big spenders. Do your party in peace. Appreciate the musician/celebrant if you want by sending alert or giving them money in their hand. Then de go your house.

They were arrested and went to court, a simple google search will show you...though EFCC should focus more on governors, ministers, senators (constituency allowances) etc

EFCC should just tell us they want to cash out.
They are so corrupt, that the Nigeria Police is a learner when it comes to corruption.

It is profoundly disheartening that in a nation crippled by monumental corruption, institutional decay, and pervasive economic hardship, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has elected to expend its dwindling relevance on the arrest of Business Mogul, E-Money, for the ostensible offence of spraying dollars at a public event. One is compelled to ask: is this the apex of financial crime in Nigeria?

The EFCC, once envisioned as a formidable guardian of our fiscal integrity, has tragically metamorphosed into a performative agency — a toothless bulldog barking in the marketplace, seeking to impress rather than impact. Rather than channel its efforts into dismantling the entrenched networks of elite corruption, embezzlement, and fraudulent public procurement, it has chosen the path of sensationalism, pursuing high-profile figures for infractions that are, at best, symbolic.

This latest arrest reeks of clout-chasing — a hollow display of authority designed to massage public sentiment while the real architects of Nigeria's economic tragedy dine unperturbed in their ivory towers. It is almost certain that E-Money, like many before him, will regain his freedom in no time, and this episode will dissolve into yet another spectacle with no meaningful consequence.

Until the EFCC redirects its energies toward substantive economic crimes and the prosecution of powerful kleptocrats, it will remain a caricature of its intended purpose — loud, visible, but ultimately ineffectual.
Why are you always sad

Oga leave Grammer and face the fact. Is that how they spray dollars in USA? Let's respect ourselves for once. Agreed, EFCC is very corrupt. But let's abide by the constitutional rule that forbids abuse of the currency.
