The Council is chaired by the President of the Senate, H.E. Senator Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio, who serves as its Grand Patron, while Maj. Gen. (Barr.) Garba Audu (rtd) also holds a national leadership role.

A new political movement, the National Council for Presidential Support (NCPS), has been launched to rally nationwide backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his anticipated 2027 re-election bid.

Unveiled in Abuja, the NCPS aims to unify all pro-Tinubu support groups under a single platform to enhance grassroots mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and policy coordination in line with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Hon. Muttaka Ibrahim, National Coordinator of the Council, described the NCPS as a movement committed to ensuring continuity and progress in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

“Our mission is to mobilize national support, coordinate strategic policy implementation, and provide visionary guidance to ensure President Tinubu’s re-election and Nigeria’s continued progress,” Ibrahim said.

The Council is chaired by the President of the Senate, H.E. Senator Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio, who serves as its Grand Patron, while Maj. Gen. (Barr.) Garba Audu (rtd) also holds a national leadership role.

In his closing remarks, Ibrahim called on Nigerians to join the movement, saying, “Together, let’s build a brighter future for Nigeria.”

Instead of focusing on providing food and security for Nigerians, they are focusing on 2027 election that they are not even sure they will be alive to witness.

Useless people.

You think Nigeria will develop? Leaders can't make life better because they know no matter how bad they perform, people from their tribe and religion will fight others to keep them in power. So there's no incentives to perform. Check Nairaland and see how e-rats are abusing people who say Tinubu is not performing

Nigerians it's left for you to decide your fate and destiny in 2027 if you still want to continue with the poverty, hunger, hardship, inflation, high costs of living, high rate of unemployment, insecurity or not?

It's just two years this two occupied a prestigious positions in the country with nothing evidently to show for
the insecurities, high cost of living, and the poor getting poorer is of little or no concerns to them.
Here we're castigating our selfs over politicians cross carpeting just so for their personal gains and never for the interest of masses
All they do is feed fat from the national treasuries while crippling the nation's future

They will never focus on working well. All they are thinking about is how to continue to milk the nation in 2027.

See what a senate president is focused on. Rather than checkmating the excesses of the Executive arm of government, na "carry go" them dey do

Some don't even know if they will be alive then

This is the Senate president, irrespective of party affiliation, he is supposed to preside over an institution that acts as check and balance over the executive arm of govt. Unfortunately, he can't because of too much skeletons in his cupboard and the executive control the agencies that have the power to expose himangry. This is the biggest disadvantage of having criminals occupying sensitive positions embarassed

Only way we can get to cheap food is by large scale mechanized farming. Not the subsistence farming we love.

Also better rail and transport

Apc does not have ideas on that, but does your party have any ideas we can get behind?

The fate is already decided. The president personally appointed the RECs of INEC, heads of Police, Army, Navy, Supreme Court, and even MC Oluomo's agberos on the streets and Wike-like thugs in political parties!
What other fate do you want to decide??

Craving for power, titles and promotion to high places is not a tool for carving impacts in the world. High positions polluted by bad character are the poisons that dehydrate the world of positive virtues.

This fool of a senate president , Poverty can’t make you miserable; only a bad character and a weak spirit can do that.

I have no doubt in my mind, these two sons of perdition are of all men the most miserable m

It's when you have a politician in power you talk about the next election before halftime. It means that kind of person has nothing to offer but politics. They can't govern. They can't lead. Think about it. It mens Tinubu has nothing to show for his 2 years in office that it's 2027 that's the hot topic in 2025 shocked

Normally, we would be talking about 2 years in office but we are talking about who will defeat him. What a country.

No, don't vote for my tribe. What I'm saying is, during elections even if your pastor or Imam is contesting but you know an Ifa priest is best, vote for that Ifa priest. That's how all developed countries were able to overcome underdevelopment and make the lives of their citizens better.
