The only commodity this present government sold us is “hope” ; we can only hope . That was why they called their campaign renewed hope agenda .

We can only hope they turn things around in that NNPC since they said the person leading the country is the master strategist

17 yo Leicester youngster made his debut recently but his jersey didn't carry sponsorship, I read the reason is because the boy is underage, and betting or alcohol is also not for under 18
But the likes of demba ba or some people that don't feel comfortable with advertising betting or alcohol on their shirt were forced to wear it
Agenda too much these days! Na yeye FIFA and UEFA naim I blame for all the nonsense wey dey happen. Nothing join football and agenda. Make dem leave those things outside football and sports in general.

Back then in 2024 Amot.o94 said it was audio saboteurs that delayed the “restart” of the PH refinery .

The question of the day is : Do we still blame saboteurs for the current state of the PH , Warri and Kaduna refineries ?
You don't know what you don't know- and this is the worst form of ignorance. People will deliberately throw spanner in the work just to maintain status quo without minding the harm their acts of sabotage will cause. But you can revel in your merriment alongside your cheerleaders.

See u going philosophical after NNPC pour spit for ur face . 😂

You appointed urself NNPC spokesperson making outrageous claim that the refinery was delayed by audio saboteurs when almost everybody knows NNPC’s major issue is inefficiency in their workforce and systemic issues .

Some of u just cap gibberish to defend what u don’t know .

For your information , I have been privileged to work in an organization that has done successful Turnaround Maintenances ; the same TAM NNPC spends hundreds of millions of dollars on and always have nothing to show for . I may not be a technical/engineering person but I have seen TAMs done in the private sector ; not the yeye waste of our common resources NNPC always do without result .

You think this is me reveling in merriment ? No this is me telling u that u actually didn’t have an inkling about what was happening in NNPC But u were sticking ur neck out for them claiming imaginary saboteurs . Let private sector investors handle the refinery and see if it won’t work .

[color=royalblue]When GEJ was there, it was incompetency (I strongly agree with this)

When APC enters, it is spanners and screwdrivers that is the major problem.

You see this country? We will be alright in the end

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by diggz: 11:00am On Apr 30, 2025
I always find it fascinating when the same citizens whose lives have been greatly impacted negatively start creating excuses or defending the failures of the government or those in power, as if that’s supposed to console the common man. It’s almost as if the common man should pity the policymakers who live in luxury while benefiting from our wealth, securing the future of their descendants for generations to come.

These leaders claimed they would hit the ground running because they have the solutions we need. Nobody should pity them; that’s what the current president said himself—no one forced him to take on this role. So when people start using the excuse of saboteurs, my question is: didn’t they consider the impact of these so-called saboteurs and how they would address that issue before declaring themselves the solution? Or are they actually the saboteurs themselves?

In any private institution, the entire government would have been sacked by now for putting the country in this position without any hope of getting us out of it anytime soon.

It’s a shameful something! Tinubu is failing hard, and no amount of shalaye or PR work can change that fact!

There will still be plenty revelation regarding nnpc in coming weeks. I believe it's part of the reason why Tinubu sacked Kyari and the entire board.

Kyari should've be removed since last year but "some influential people" kept pressuring Tinubu against appointing Ojulari and rather appoint a core Northerner to take over from Kyari. All those news of refinery this and that were to use to buy Kyari some goodwill to either remain or someone he recommends take over from him.

Wale Edun already announced that a proper financial audit of the entire nnpc including subsidiaries is currently ongoing, we'll begin to hear plenty stories and scandal soon enough.

LPDP dunking on LPAPC for their voting pattern is akin to a tortoise dissing a crocodile for having scales and 'rough' skin.

If you were any different, you'd have proven it by voting "LP from top to bottom" like you advocated for across all strata of elective political offices two years ago.

LP, PDP, APC or NNPP isn't the problem - it's the individuals. A snake is still a snake even when kept as pet or in the wild. A dove is a dove in your home or soaring in the skies.

Osinbajo is of the APC but more refined than most of the politicians in the opposition you campaign for. Okowa was PDP yesterday but APC today. He was a crook even in the opposition. APC or PDP or LP doesn't automatically designate you a saint or demon.

we are now in a conundrum

the refineries were sold in 2010/11, but yardua reversed the sale

imho they were at scrap value in 2015, but buhari decided to revamp them. i believe the vendors engaged were actually competent, but NNPC is NNPC.

now NNPC hase an asset that on paper has a value of 1billion dollars that no one will want to buy.

You are comparing apples to pineapples. One is breaking the law and the other isn't. In what universe is Underage and feeling comfortable/not comfortable the same thing. So if a player says I am a Christian and I don't work on Sundays so I won't play today the club should grant his request because he is not comfortable.

I mentioned it back then that immediately Tinubu sacked Emefiele , Mele Kyari’s sack should’ve followed immediately. There was no justification for Kyari to have kept his job till 2025.

The Port Harcourt refinery restart date was postponed for almost 7 times if I am not mistaken . Yet, today we are told the plant is barely operating at 40% capacity sef .

Private operators in the oil and gas sector do Turnaround Maintenances as at when due and they carryon after its successful completion . They import parts and spares months before commencement of any proposed TAM, they have contractors mobilized as at when due , they have project managers working around the clock and deadline after deadline met . Plans are made , KPIs measured , strategies implemented, etc. There are consequences for actions and inactions .

But u will see NNPC failing over and over again and some people because of partisan politics will be defending their failure . Shior !

Yeah , NNPC is the problem .

Buhari should not have tried to revamp the refineries under the leadership of NNPC . Selling the refinery still remains the best decision Buhari didn’t take

NNPC TAM 89% of the time is designed to fail so they can keep budgeting for it every eke market days.

Just like the Police, nobody that grows up in that system will be able to sanitize it because they are part and parcel of the rot.

Ojulari is from the private sector, hopefully we see some turnaround efficiency in that company in the nearest future.

Tinubu delays some some important decision and sometimes rush some important decision. Everything just seems uncoordinated.

Lmao.. Why sack someone when you can first make money and then push all the blame on him ehn.
Because I hope apc isn't planning to claim Tinubu had no idea what was happening.
That would be worse because you allowed an incompetent buffon lose 2 billion dollars when you could have easily stopped it when you entered.

I think NNPC should just be made regulator and not a player in the industry . If they take the refineries off NNPC’s hands and just have them remain regulators we would be surprised how effective the new owners of the refinery will be .

I want them to sell off most of the assets too but are we really ready to hands off our petrol refinery fully to the private sector knowing how petrol and disease impact alot of things in this country?

The idea that government must hands off everything to me is just excusing the government incompetence. You are elected to do a job, if you can't do it, then resign.

Government has shown it can’t really handle any successful business . I prefer government faces governance and leave business to the private sector ; let government earn taxes and levies from the private sector’s efficiency and superior profitability .
