IMF report are no longer reliable.
Besides, taking an economy 10 stops back n 3 step forward is not growth.

IMF has collected bribes for these statistics. How would Nigeria's economy outgrow the United States?

crackhouse:
Fastest growing economy that have produced more poor people than before
That is the paradox of APC extreme poverty propaganda that has rendered more people jobless/underemployed with the value of their wages eroded by hyperinflation due to Buhari's predicted cluelessness that ebilokan has worsened surprisingly.

Anyway, thank God that Yorubalokans have free daily palliative to shield us from this nonsense.

A large crowd of Lagosians was filmed in a long queue struggling to collect a loaf of bread. To maintain order, several military personnel were on the ground to control the crowd. This has triggered a lot of reactions online.

If you want to get a section of people excited... Draw a bar chart, hide the figures using percentages, put that the source is a foreign organization...youll see a lot of erect phalanges praising mediocrity from the comfort of their bed-bug infested rooms.

A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.

The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.

“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.

The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.

At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.

The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.

Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.

No bribes, but the reporter just dubiously omitted that we have backtracked a lot in the past 8 years and this 3% growth doesn’t bring us close to what we were as at 2014.

Headache to many….

You will see them crawling out of the post like crabs. The hate any good news about Nigeria. Economic growth is not what you see overnight, it’s gradual and long term effect. Based on the bold steps Tinubu’s administration had taken, it’s obvious the future is very bright Nigeria.

Just want to advise Edun you will be remembered for being the worst finance minister ever, Kemi Adeosun makes more impact than you. Big disgrace to Yoruba community. I've not seen one single move that is helping the poor or try to save money. Adeosun did whistle blowing right thinking thing a person with accounting experience would do taking over an important position. Edun made the last person that filled the position look like a genius.
lol
What exactly do you mean by this?

I wrote this when somebody was making comparison btw Mr Edun and Okonjo.

Even Buhari has the highest GDP in Africa until he left.
Because of the fakeness of the GDP during Okonjo Iweala period,Nigeria was down in 2014 when Okonjo began to borrow billions to pay workers because oil began to sell for 78 dollars.
They were doing 2 million plus b/d of oil at around 120-150 dollars for more than 4 years..
There were ASUU strikes and all sorts of strikes that lingered and the worst was borrowing money with the trillons Nigeria made from oil during that period. In the history of Nigeria,no govt ever made that humongous revenue.

Mr Edun is managing the economy better with oil at 67 dollars,1.5 million b/d.
Paying workers when due.Trippling govs revenues...most of them are paying their debts and executing laudable projects.
Nigeria has paid off 41 billion dollars debt, settled the 30 trillion ways and means of Buhari, settled the 7 billion dollars of the foreign airlines,GDP last growth was 3.something even better than Britain and some Western nations and above all, things are beginning to ease(Things went awry because of the removal of oil subsidy which Nigeria was borrowing money to sustain).

Headache to many Lagosians who ebilokan has made jobless and economic nuisance since 1999?

anonimi:
The eyesore on Bourdillon Road
2nd January 2025

Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.

If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.

That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.
