Biodun1929:
The last day I went out was last week Wednesday, and below is the break down of the trips. I started the day with a visit to the filing station, and bought 25k fuel.

*First trip
From Idimu-Ejigbo road to Governors road (Igando road end of governors road, not ikotun end)
Duration - 18 mins
Distance - 7.7km
My income - N2,499

*Second trip
From Isheri-igando road to Ikorodu
Duration - 94 mins
Distance - 45km
My income - N9,640

*Third trip
From Ikorodu to Tejuosho market, Yaba
Duration - 72 mins
Distance - 29.8km
My income - N6,337

*Fourth and final trip (The trip was going directly to my area, and I wanted to close for the day...which is the reason I took this ride)
From Unilag/University road to Egbeda
Duration - 65 mins
Distance - 18.6km
My income - N6,069

Total money spent on fuel for the day - N25,000

Total income - 2,499 + 9,640 + 6,337 + 6,069 = 24,545

Real income for the day 24,545 - 25,000 = -455

This means, after working for hours last week Wednesday, I actually lost N455 naira. This is why I decided to stop and re-evaluate things.

So guys, what do you think? Is it my car, or the trips I took?

UPDATE
I guess I should add that I used A/C all through the trips. It was crazy sunny day.
All these trips are just too cheap menh. You can't have a breakthrough with the nonsense price bro. May be you should try Bolt strictly. Indriver is full of shit. Or better still bid the highest on indriver.

Student loans that was supposed to be a dividend of the removal of fuel subsidy , subsidy that we were all enjoying as citizens I must add has now been revealed to have been looted. No country can survive this scale of corruption.

dav1002 sorry, I forgot to tell you that YOU and TheModerator were bundled into the same category of trolls who wish for the demise of this beautiful thread grin

So in essence, whenever you venture to quote/mention me (defender of this here sacred ground) . . . You need to put some serious ResPekt on my name cool

So drink water and calm down, then try to tell me what you wanted to say again 🤗

At times the way some of you support wrong things here baffles me. I'll not call names but then I'll not close my mouth about it either.

1st, a rider in Abuja complained about a high fare and making sure the driver's CNG was removed. I'm not in support of that driver at all. 30k is much.....I mean too much for that distance....and he's using CNG!

2ndly, drivers protested yesterday by staying at home and some people think they don't know what they're doing!
Do you like the ridiculous fares you see? Do you like the way these apps ignore drivers and treat drivers anyhow?
You want change but you don't want to fight for it!
there is nothing ridiculous about his fare..... it's a service he is rendering and he can choose to collect any amount he likes the fact that he placed premium on his service and others does not doesn't mean he is wrong at least he is not the only one in the business the person could have gone for someone else entirely not blame the driver for the amount he chooses to collect. Shey Na them dey help am maintain motor Ni Abi they are not going to collect there money for retrofiting from the driver, abeg!. Plus the whole story Na BS

only you complained someone overcharged someone, only you still complained the apps fare is ridiculous and all drivers should have joined others in their strike.

person no force rider to pay 30k, the rider willingly pay the 30k and you said he overcharged, If he has done it online with their ridiculous fare, you will still say the apps are not treating drivers well with their pricing🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

if confusion was a person, it should be YOU!

the rider entitlement is even BS, so because he's using CNG, he should charge lesser than others using gasoline, it's a service, the driver gave price, if you're not comfortable with it, look for another person, it's as simple as that...

Good Toks Toyota or Honda still trumps brand new Chinese, Indian and Nigerian cars anyday. I said it before "give those cars 10 years on ehailing and let's see what will be left of them"
I thought you wanted to buy Chinese EVs before...

Which one be this comparison again?

. Bro even if the protest didn't work on the prices. He did the right thing. Na small small change dey occur, if things dont change very soon alot people will opt out of this business,

Cars are getting expensive everyday

Car parts are getting expensive as well

Inflation everywhere

Cost of living is going up every day

Rents are killing

Bills are increasing in prices

Petrol despite selling at 890 is still very expensive

And you make peanuts on ehailing to foot all these bills, how long will people keep doing this ? Donkey years before you can break even with your investment grin

funny enough, the Ford I drive is still in former owner's name.

there was a day I was rushing for a meeting, they stopped me that day and in my mind, I said this people will force me to pay the exceeding speed limit fine, to my surprise, he just checked my papers and tyre and told me I'm free.

No impact is always felt after this Una protest

Doesn't that tell you guys that your protest is always futile
App coys have no physical office you call hold, you guys don't have union how then do you expect your protest to work?
It's best you guys stop wasting your time on it
