One of the reasons why all religions sell well in Africa is due to the prevalence of poverty.

Religion, well marketed, sell hope to poor people.
This hope pumps their feel good emotions — just like the 'ectasy' drug that makes you high & enter into another realm — it provides temporary escape from the current reality of suffering & pain.



Just a simple biblical verse of: ''blessed are the poor in spirit cos they will inherit the kingdom of God'' heard my some bible followers has made them embrace poverty, instead of smartly working hard, setting their priorities right, canvassing for & electing the competent & fit people in governmental offices, they'll rather ''suffer to death'' to gain the ''kingdom of God''


Ditto for pea-sized brain suicide bombers that were told to kill several innocents alongside themselves to enter paradise & enjoy 77 virgins.

Similarly for human traffickers cum ritualists that butcher their fellow homo sapiens for money rituals, longevity rituals & the likes...



Until poverty becomes a thing of yesterday in Africa, diverse religions will continue to sell till the end of time.
