ValeeLove:if you can't make it look good then don't do it. Do a simple chop instead. |

ValeeLove:Woah, woah, woah. Hol' up, wait a minute, something ain't right. Weren't we just talking about weak-looking offence on the part of Naomi? Why aren't you keeping the same energy with Eddie Kingston? |

ValeeLove:Tbh, I agree with you. She started off her career as Sarita's lackey in Mexican America back in TNA alongside Hernandez and Anarquia. Today, over a decade later, she's still stuck as a foot soldier of a Latino faction in WWE. |

samistry:where are the admissions from these diehard fans? I haven't seen Kenta's, maybe it's time to check it out. Plus comparing NJPW to US isn't exactly fair. We all know they practice a strong style. I've seen the chops, I've also seen his spinning back fist and other moves; they are good in my eyes at least. He eats a lot, but he's still a good athlete. You can't be a bad athlete if you can deliver good matches with people like Punk and Danielson. |

pu7pl3:Gunther is a good athlete, I might even say great, but his chops are too hard. Send a chopper, I still I'm not leaving this hill. It's not supposed to hurt. We subside every other move's effect till it comes to a chop or a slap; fa fa foul. I don't agree. |

CoolUsername:Difference is those 2 weren't even touching eachother and it's beyond embarrassing that such a display exists on A TV as big as WWE's. |

ValeeLove:Some of these were from the aew reddit page while others are from general wrestling. He's an okay athlete but needs to stop that machine gun chops, the spinning back fist is a bad finisher in my view.

samistry:I don't have an issue with his gun chops. It looks that way because it's really fast, faster than Kenta's from the videos I watched. They probably don't like him because of his weight, but the fact is he puts out good matches and sells himself well. |

samistry:stables are bad. I've said this before. The only way a stable works is if: 1. You bury other talent. 2. It's for the benefit of 1 person and one person alone, World championship in goal. |

ValeeLove:I'm sure evolution, DX, NWO, the Shield, Bullet club and the elite stables didn't work 😏. It's wrestling every match must have a winner and a loser. |
| Re: Purpl3's WWE (and Pro-wrestling in general) Discussion And Banter House by ValeeLove(m): 3:03pm On May 02, 2025 |
samistry:Do you know how many people they had to bury to flourish. I noticed you brought out only heel stables - because that's what they do, bury people. I challenge you to bring a face stable that actually worked. Don't weasel out. |
| Re: Purpl3's WWE (and Pro-wrestling in general) Discussion And Banter House by samistry(m): 3:26pm On May 02, 2025 |
ValeeLove:Weren't DX at their most popular when feuding with the corporation?Wasn't shield a face stable when feuding with Evolution and the wyatts? Wasn't New Day a face stable longer than they were heels? Weren't NWO Wolf pac faces?. Goalpost has shifted from stables are bad to only heel stables work. It's prowrestling you always need to dominate someone to make an impact. |
| Re: Purpl3's WWE (and Pro-wrestling in general) Discussion And Banter House by ValeeLove(m): 4:39pm On May 02, 2025 |
samistry:All these guys made impact as a heel stable. Did little as a face stable. Shield was already big when they had those fights, same with the rest. Give me a face stable that started babyface and became big as a result, not one that was already big then switched face. Yeah, stables are bad. And one of the proof is you have to BURY people for it to make some kind of impact. See how many names suffered in the hands of DX, same with NWO, Shield isn't exempted. Jobbing isn't same as burying. |

pu7pl3:Pu7pl3 tell me when I'm telling lies. There's only one way a stable may work; 1 guy for a world title and the others for tag teams & midcard titles. If you have multiple top guys in a stable, it's a joke, because who is going to go for the world title? And stables don't have belts. Finito. |
| Re: Purpl3's WWE (and Pro-wrestling in general) Discussion And Banter House by samistry(m): 5:19pm On May 02, 2025 |
ValeeLove:Goal post mover once again has changed the question to stables that started babyface and stayed big 🤣. Matter wey start originally with stables are bad Wasn't Team Extreme big as faces? The corporation was buried by DX. The wyatt family were buried by shield. Usos were buried by the new day according to your logic. Meanwhile Kofi and Big E won World titles as faces in a face stable. |

ValeeLove:Wasn't Cody in bullet club when he challenged Kenny for the Njpw title? Hangman Page and Kenny Omega were each competing for the AEW championship in its inaugural year, 2019 despite being in same stable. 'Stables don't have belts'....ever heard of trios/six man belts? It's a thing on NJPW and AEW. There's no point arguing with an 'AEW fan' when I watch and know more about his favourite wrestling promotion than him. |
| Re: Purpl3's WWE (and Pro-wrestling in general) Discussion And Banter House by ValeeLove(m): 10:30pm On May 02, 2025 |
samistry:I'm moving goal posts only in your head. I haven't changed my stance. Stables are bad. The only way they ever made impact in wrestling was by burying others and or pushing 1 person. You keep saying DX, weren't they already big when they turned face. How did they turn big, by burying others while heel. I'd say John Cena buried the Wyatt family. But they had great matches with them and evolution, but remember while this was going on they were having cracks and the reason they had to break up was creative issues. What else was there for them to do. Ambrose had belt the US title hostage everyone almost forgot about it. They had to bring back and old team in the Evolution for them to have a program as babyfaces. Who were they going to face? How were they going to make impact going forward. Escort eachother to the ring for title matches like the New Day and then what? Let's not even talk about how bad the Big E and Kofi's run were - but where is the impact of the stable? By that point it would have become an excuse for existence rather than a meaningful pursuit. At least if it were a tag team we know they have belts to fight for. But as babyfaces; no one to attack, no one to ambush, no matches to interrupt, what reason is there to exist anyway? Did Blackpool Combat Club make an impact? |
