Helpout12345:1) No woman is demanding monogamy from you. Some women are okay with polygamy. Go for them. 2) Some women are also okay with providing for you. If you look around, you can cop one and do well to understand her polygamous traits, if any. 3) If provision is too much for you to give a woman who you are most likely 10yrs older than. You want her youthfulness, chastity, submissiveness, babymaking ability, home management skills, endurance..etc. Then refer to 1 or stay single. 4) Can you please stop speaking for the bulk of men? There are men who are very okay with providing for their homes as long as the woman holds her end. These men didn't tell you they want to become community gbolas for providing. 5) I believe you have more major usefulness than provision. Do well to tell this honourable house. Your future wife might be reading. |

And who told you am just sitting down in the house? At that duration of no job, i go on job hunt, networking, purchasing skills, getting hints about business. These are my usefulness! bukatyne: |

bukatyne:That is the major problem with the traditional marriage system. It is too rigid in requiring that the man provide all of the time while the woman submits all of the time. We now find ourselves living in a time when that model can no longer hold as it used to, and it follows that a more flexible system that insists that the man becomes the submitter whenever the woman becomes the provider, and another that allows both to share provider and submitter responsible is what is needed. ![]() |

Love800:Ok. All those activities above does not translate to money; you are still depending on your wife to fund the home and your job hunting. She is fuelling the car, putting money in your pocket etc. It is all motion and no movement. Imagine this: Your wife is not earning and the domestic partner. Instead of cooking, she roams the market and comes home folding her hands. Instead of doing the kids homework, she flips open their books and closes it back. Instead of making the home warm, she notes what needs to be done and does nothing. Instead of cleaning the home, she scatters the whole house as if she wants to sweep and does nothing. What value is she really bringing to the family? Flip it to yourself and tell us the actual value you are bringing to the home. |

bukatyne:Relegating him to a domestic partner means assigning him primarily to household tasks, like cooking or cleaning, mainly because he is unemployed or perceived as idle. Intention/motive is key. |

Kobojunkie:As a Christian, it is love and submission; not provision and submission however, I get your point. I honestly don't have a problem with the traditional system; it is actually better than what a lot of men offer. My problem is that you are traditional, fine. And then life happens, you can't provide for a while. You can't decide to ease the burden off your wife as a show of solidarity. You want her to keep up her part and play your part while you do nothing. Like how is someone in a marriage and content to do nothing? Even if it is I will prepare the kids for school and make dinner when you are back home while the wife continues every other thing just to show love and empathy? It is well. Later, they will say women think they don't need men when they make money. |
| Re: The Provider by bukatyne(f): 7:54pm On May 03, 2025 |
Acidosis:Relegating means you think household tasks are beneath him; fine. So I ask; if this man who thinks chores are beneath him loses his source of income, what is his usefulness in the marriage? What other values is he bringing to the marriage at that point. |

I didn't digest the bolded well. But i still downloaded what you are pointing at. What i want to say is, come rain come shine, wedar things are bad or not, i can't take mother role responsibilities. A critical thinking woman should know that now its her function to take over, feeding, subscribing the bills, tending the children, etc... These should be her stuffs till i rise back. Am too sourcing and adventures when it involves getting the numbers(money), finding my feet back. No time for partnering to home affairs! bukatyne: |

Acidosis:Ok, no relegating to domestic partner. What else do you guys bring to the table? |

Love800:What are father role responsibilities? |
| Re: The Provider by GloriousGbola: 8:07pm On May 03, 2025 |
Love800:interestingly, this may be why women are sometimes better at managing business because if you run a business you also have to 'subscribe the bills', and be able to get the best prices for different services or materials for the office, rather than just pay for the first one that comes your way. interesting that you consider paying bills solely as a womans responsibility |

| Re: The Provider by GloriousGbola: 8:23pm On May 03, 2025 |
Love800:What don't you understand? You wrote it yourself. Subscribing to bills is a woman's responsibility. All a man is supposed to do is make money |

bukatyne:1. I don't believe in or argue the Christian religious angle since it is typically based on the whims of society. ![]() 2. I don't have a problem with the traditional system either. Of course, there are many other, more favorable marriage systems out there, but we are on the issue of the traditional system here. And it insists that the man should be the provider in the marriage. But here we are speaking of when the traditional system encounters failure, i.e., the man is no longer the provider in the marriage. ![]() 3. Again, the traditional requirement is that the man remain the provider under every circumstance in the marriage. Basically, the system only applies when the man is a provider. It ceases to be a traditional system of marriage when the man is no longer a provider. Once the man becomes unemployed or the woman takes over as the provider in the family. It is no longer supposed to be a marriage under the traditional system. A lack of understanding of this— maybe a lack of critical thinking ability too— is behind the reason for the epidemic of married single women. I blame the women. ![]() |

Love800:... all with the woman's money since the man is unemployed, right? I blame women who put up with this bullsheet in the name of marriage. ![]() |

I didn't say administering bills is a woman's responsibility please. I meant she will be doing it at my wretched state. Am in charge of the bills on a normal! GloriousGbola: |

bukatyne:So I had this friend who married a very very very smart and fine woman. Large age gap like 8 or more years. He married her as a virgin. We became close family friends. But my guy was a proto redpill maga guy before it was mainstream. And he unfortunately made bad moves at work. His wife actually pushed some buttons in her consulting role and got him a new job but he fked it up terribly. Summary they were living together she was paying all the bills and the guy was insisting on hot food and all that. Theres a lot more. All the man with no job imposing on breadwinner wife until things came to a head. Anyway they are separated now. The woman is doing amazingly well and the guy has just deprecated. It is really sad. Anyway she apparently really liked sex and since no more prick available she had to buy a toy. You women replacing us in more ways than one ![]() Bigger, more penetrative and lasts longer ![]() |

Love800:The traditional model actually does not suggest any such arrangement. Again, I blame women who give up their ability to critically reason every moment of their own lives while in marriage. ![]() |
