If We Are To Clean This Country, 80% Of Us Will Go To Jail (True?) by Bobodee09(op): 5:35pm On May 03, 2025
Most Nigerians are terrible people who are always quick to point finger. From top to bottom we are all corrupt but always quick to put blame on government.

Who are the goverment?? Are they not fellow Nigerians who are our family members??
Anytime I see people lament about politicians my simple question to them is "if one of your brothers is a senator today and he place you on 10m per month as an aide will come out to accuse him of corruption " we all know the answer to that

80% of civil servant are corrupt
80% of business man and women are corrupt
80% of artisans are corrupt.
80% of youth are internet fraudster
Everyone is looking for who to dupe and play a fast one on.

Many parents pay for special center so there kids can pass waec and jamb exams. Many pay bribes to get a university degree
We all pay and collect bribe just to have our way and act like is nothing.
Friday the mosques are full and Sunday churches are full still yet we won't stop our wicked and corrupt behaviors despite the preaching and prayers.
God can't be mocked.

Everyday we see news of Nigerians being caught for different crime all over the world and you see some people still trying to put the blame on the government.

Is so bad that even teenagers can't enjoy innocent relationships anymore, a 16yrs girl want to date a man that will be taken care of her in return for sex while a 16yrs old boy is looking for who to teach him fraud so he can buy 10m Benz, sleep around and smoke all day.

As Nigerians until we start telling ourselves the hard truth we will keep going round the vicious circle and things will keep on getting bad

That thing of always shifting blame to government for everything done wrong instead of holding ourselves accountable for the wrongs we do need to stop.

I think 95%.
The only non-sibling honest personality I have encountered in Nigeria so far is the Guy watching over one my properties in Nigeria.
Most times I wait to see if he would ask for stipend but he never never does.
He is always contented and almost always honest.
Everything that comes out of that Guy's mouth regarding that property is just the truth.
I usually send spies to get feedback without letting them know who is watch who.
Some act as single and double agents, but that Guy stands out.
To cap it, he is very intelligent. He earned my respect.
I have plans 4him which will be roadmap to getting him a lecturing job abroad.

Blame past military rulers and all politicians before military rule and after military rule, including this current ones.

Those idiots changed the mindset of the people with corruption and evil policies that made everyone eyes to be opened and over ambitious which can never be eradicated till the end of the world.

It's just a pity that Nigerians will never change and the country will never get better.

I don’t agree with this generalization. Yes, there are issues, but painting the entire nation as corrupt is unfair. There are still many honest and hardworking Nigerians out there.

The truth is that most Nigerians are criminals camouflaging as victims and pointing fingers to the next available person or institution. Forgetting we, our friends, family members, neighbours are all part of these shameful acts.
We are sets of liars, cheats, pretenders and hypocrites looking to devour the next prey and victim
Re: If We Are To Clean This Country, 80% Of Us Will Go To Jail (True?) by DesChyko: 6:24am On May 04, 2025
That is untrue. That assumption is being made by people who are enmeshed in a life of crime and are looking for justification for their life choices.

A similar excuse is when people support evil politicians under the excuse of "all politicians are the same" when even a set of twins are not the same.

Nigeria should be cleaned up and it has to start now.

Truth be told 90% of us but smtimes we r helpless. We don't like what we r doing but d system already in place makes it impossible to be clean otherwise u will die miaerably or suffer poverty. When u r paid peanuts u will have to cut corners to survive. When u have a horrible educational system u will have to cheat to survive. When our polith. ieftians don't care if u die u will have to create a way to live and survive. It takes d president and senate to say enuff is enuff. Let's work on our corrupt system from top to bottom and from thence any fo. ol that messes up rexeives it hot. Thought Buhari wud have done this. He started well with the recoveries. But he slacked along d way. My honest opinion.

Not up to 80%, but a huge majority of politicians and their supporters will go, and that's why you will always see their supporters praising crime and injustice. It is a survival battle for them

Thank you. I believe those generalisation are a reflection of the person's circle of companions. Which isn't a reflection of the country, but such person's value system.
