At the paediatric ward of Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau, Zamfara State, Fatima (surname withheld) sat silently beside her frail eight-month-old daughter, Mariam, but her mind was on Abdul, her two-year-old son, who had died days earlier. Desperate to save them from malnutrition, Fatima had rushed both children to the hospital. Abdul, severely malnourished and barely breathing, was admitted first.https://guardian.ng/news/empty-plates-bleak-future-how-malnutrition-is-devastating-northern-nigeria/

By 2027 when the opportunity to bring in good leadership with human sympathy, who will make policies that will affect the citizens in a positive way comes, they will forget all their suffering and follow instructions from one paid Alfa who is nowhere now to help them. |

But they are in power for long, what did they do with it? Instead of them to develop agriculture which is their comparative advantage, they busy competing oil with the south. Meanwhile, for our modern day tyrant, welfarism is not in his renewed hope, he turn country to a hopeless situation, while him, his son and member of his government leaving like they are in paradise. |

Soonest Nigeria will most likely split into convenient groups for better and faster development. Then the quota system and all the other perceived advantages certain regions seem to be enjoying over others will become a serious undoing. The north shud stop bragging abt political positions or focusing on them and start putting their region in good condition. They shud start holding their govs responsible and stop playing regional politics. The elites shud start telling them d truth and their religious leaders. Nobody shud blindly follow a leader that is clearly making u drink from d gutters no matter how highly placed that person is. .... But will they hear? |

Not only northern Nigeria. Children in Nigeria are not being fed properly by their parents. When parents can not even afford a decent meal.. Our leaders are evil. |

To most illegitimate beings, the fight for the goid of the nation is a game between Tinubu and obi. It's a game of tribe. Yet they fail to understand that, tunubu in his lifetime(even if 100 years is to be added to him) will nevee smell poverty again, neither would his families. Likewise Peter obi, no matter the outcome of the game(as you nitwits call it) he will always have more to give to people not to mention him lacking what to eat. On the other hand, can the smaeg thing be said of you? What's the condition of your immediate family, extended, friends and community? What do does the future hold for you kids? Everyday you waste your life on nairaland, shouting peter obi from sunrise to sunset, when your phone runs down on power, you would seek for a neighbor where you can charge to return back on nairaland. You can not afford basic things of life, you watch your families suffer year in, year out. With all your tine waste on social media defending buhari and now Tinubu, did you get to change your apartment? Did your kife become better? . The stipend they pay for your future, does it cater for your electricity bills? Today, no one hears about oluomo، he's busy stashing wealth for his generation to come. You na wetin you dey gain? Dem take poverty swear for you?

Sokoto state governor said recently, that no amount is too much to spend in propagating islam. Since they have placed religion over human beings let them face the consequences. This is a long epistle but it is worthy of read |

Religious intolerance is one of the MAJOR CULPRITS destroying the north, this hatred for other religions, gives birth to ISLAMIC TERRORIST combing the whole region and spreading to other peaceful regions.

The elites of the northern part of Nigeria insist that the children of the masses should never have the privilege of education. This has to be the beginning of a process that reverses the fortunes of the overwhelming population who have to beg for a living while the micro few swallow up the resources and opportunities on behalf of the rest. Religion is used to keep them docile. In the same way they are programmed to think that other tribes and other religions are their problem. They are encouraged to give birth to children they can't afford and can't be bothered to raise. They have raised menaces to society. Miscreants. Inborn criminals. Terrorists. Killers. All because, in their twisted wisdom, the strategists that gave counsel to their forefathers devised an annihilation scenario where the untrained, unparented masses would turn into monsters and kill the rest of us. They forget the wisdom of the ancients: YOU CANNOT BE WICKED AND WISE AT THE SAME TIME. |

It will definitely get worse. Evolve or die is the current state of things. If they're so comfortable being led as sheep by their so-called religious leaders, without the ability to seek knowledge and think for themselves, this will remain their constant reality. |

The northern leaders are the most corrupt, wicked and insensitive in the country, they cornered all the money meant for building infrastructures and human capital at the detriment of the people. This underscores the fact that they are the most advantaged politically in occupation of advantaged positions in the country. They need to wake up from their slumber because the coming generation who acquired western educated will ask them questions and revolt. |
