I was 21, fresh outta university.
On the second day the principal sent me to go buy chilled coke and eggroll. Emphasis on chilled. The next day I didn't show up.
Pay was about 20k.

Rules and regulation was longer than River Niger. On some days they dressed like penguins. Other days, pink, purple shirt...all with black skirt/trouser. I was young, but I knew staying in such job was disastrous.

When there is vacancy it’s always posted on most jobs sites..I didn’t do much self..no Godfather just applied like every other person and i was called for the exam, I passed then the interview stages till I got the job..
Thou its a junior staff role oo..well head operator.

Congrats bro....I currently work in retail bank as an an RM in one of the top commercial banks here in Nigeria....I will like to take this ur step too but at least I will need a mentor, as I'm still less than a year in banking as a full staff. How easily can I reach out to you whether via Whatsapp, only if u want bro?

I was already working in retail banking in Nigeria.

Came to the UK as a dependent of a skilled worker visa holder, so there were minimal restrictions to where I could work.

I applied to different jobs relating to finance and eventually got the bank job after the interviews.

P.S. I did work in care on a full-time role immediately I landed though, but switched to reduced hours when I got the banking job. I still work mental health care support on weekends or any time I like (less stressful, easy pay 🙂).
