I don't want to say what's on my mind. However, this is double standards coming from Chimamanda who is a self acclaimed feminist. Is she not supposed to be a voice for women being a feminist?. Surrogacy is a form of slavery, prostitution, exploitation of a woman's body. She knew she didn't practice what she preaches, little wonder she didn't come out earlier. Like it or not, accept it or not, any baby born through surrogacy does not belong to you biologically. No matter how some states or countries might legalize it, biologically, the child isn't yours still. Well, I wish her well. But next time, stay one place, if you want to practice feminism, do it with your full chest, otherwise, commot. Reminds me of Linda Ikeji preaching abstinence but lo and behold, aunty was busy jumping on Uber to go and collect. I hate double standards.

PS; it seems some folks just want to argue for the sake of it. There's a reason she's called a Surrogate Mother

Feminism is pro choices, if the woman chooses out of her freewill and its been paid for it, then there is no slavery involved

Let me explain it to you in it's most basic form: The husband's sperm is taken from him, the wife's egg is taken from her, they are joined together through a process called in vitro fertilization in the lab, and then this is inserted into the surrogate's (a consenting, well paid adult female) womb.

Now tell me, does this look like the process you just described above?

But if you look at it from the angle of morality, there's similarity with prostitution in such agreement with the surrogate mother, something one wouldn't expect from a renowned "feminist".
No parent normal parent would allow their daughter to be used as surrogate mother for someone just for monetary benefits.

To then have twins from those eggs especially when the uterus isn't capable of carrying is a big ask for the ovaries to produce such quality eggs.
Nigerians are very discriminatory and are quick to look down on others. This coupled with a society that thrives in shame and secrecy means even those in their 30s using donor eggs and those above 50 doing same keep it not only from the family members but from th children themselves.
