Players who played for decades and are reasonably versed in the technicalities of the game can coach well. Look at Fabregas at Como..

Yes, he didn't play for Nigeria, but John has made great efforts over the years to make up for that in so many ways. He made the decision to play for England at a very young agae, not sure he was even close to Nigeria at that point. Blame the father if not.. As he got older, he has always been "home"..
I think we shouldn't hold that against him. Most of us will do the same if we were in his shoes..

Fashanu actually accepted invitation to play for Nigeria in one the 1986 world Cup qualifying matches, he came down and train with the team but wasn't featured in the match. He didn't refused to play.

he never snubbed Nigeria, he was invited in 1985 for a world Cup qualifier, he did come and train with the team but not used in the match. He felt disappointed and have to turn to England

Stop talking rubbish. Did he jump into coaching Bayern Munich or he went to a smaller club and proved himself there first? And don't you know all these players got their coaching badges while playing??
