2. It was only during his time in history that Naira gain more momentum to the extent that USD fell from 120 NGN to 80 NGN
3. consistent fall inflation and price of commodity it was then that a bag of rice was sold for 3-4k
4. he was the first to pay FG workers 13th month salary
5. Nigeria was well respected and we hosted U-17 World cup
6. A faithful man who even faulted the process that brought him in
7. He solved farmers and herdsmen clashes that even lasted to 2014.
He did all these without subsidy removal and overwhelming loan. And despite the fact that he was a Fulani man he didn't allow their excesses.
To me Yaradua is better than any Nigeria leaders since our independent, if not for death I am 100% sure that Nigeria will be among top 5 economy in the world and by now our poverty level will be around 15-17%

Exactly I still remember vividly the day the announcement was made. No president has ever reduced fuel price in the history of Nigeria govt. Only Yaradua did it.

The amnesty not only enriched selected Niger-deltan militants et al, it improved & sustained Nigeria's economy.

Yar'Adua reduced fuel prices & I'm yet to see any Nigerian leader do that!

Men who led Nigeria with sincerity of purpose to foster unity across divides by ensuring no region is left behind! They understood that nation building cannot take place in an atmosphere of rancour or by discriminating against any section of the country, hence they carried everybody along. Under such atmosphere of inclusivity, patriotism flows seamlessly without any need to force it!

These men:

Would go down the anals of history as Nigerian leaders who sincerely wanted a better and prosperous Nigeria for all.

I'll say that the PDP as a party was founded on the right footings by the founding fathers to build the country everyone of us would be proud of but along the line, black man's mentality of greed and tendency to satisfy immediate selfish gratifications scuttled the noble objectives of the founding fathers of the party and that was what gave way for the clueless set in APC to hijack power and unleash untold hardship and widened the gap of division amongst Nigerians.
