If demand is more than supply in any commodity the prices will go up. I am also proud of Lai Mohammed
You mean the demand in Togo, Benin, Ghana and Niger is too much we have to pay for it, abi we don't supply these listed countries electricity again.

You can do better to tell us where the demand and supply is coming from

They can theoretically but how many of them have the infrastructure to distribute it to their LGA. How many states have built power lines and infrastructure to distribute it
or you think say they will just put electricity inside jerry-can and deliver to houses?
The Electricity Act 2023 grants states the right to generate, transmit, and distribute power within their jurisdictions.
I can't post link cause of that bot

But they have the infrastructure to build airports that's empty or blow money on what the states don't need?

We supply them based on a long standing agreement with them. Our demand for electricity is rising daily and our suply is not meeting it. We need to explore alternate means of generating electricity like Wind, Gas and solar. Kudos to our able president Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the Aso rock solar project that will reduce the stretching of the hydro power generation on the country

Do the states have the infrastructure yet to distribute? If not then hold the states and ask them why are you not building those infrastructures

If your state is blowing money on unnecessary infrastructure then you have to vote out your governor

What are the infrastructure needed to generate electricity?
We have 36 states, 23 of them have power plants
13 can still share among the neighboring states

That's 1 option, the other is to reduce the supply of outside countries we are supplying Ghana but they can boast of 24 hours stable electricity
The supply is more than demand in that country

Lol @ "GTB is the only Yoruba bank standing" grin

The major shareholders in Wema bank are Odua group and Baba Kessington Adebutu through his Neemtree Limited investment. Wema is more Yoruba than GTB will ever be.

The funny thing is that some gullible people will actually reason with this lady .
Those gullible people should not even be referred to as adults, if they reason with her

It's based on them not damming River Niger upstream or the flow to Kainji would not be sufficient, or the River could branch out if the flow rate is tampered with upstream

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by User09: 5:00pm On May 05, 2025
The whole rot started with the shady and crooked privatization of those Discos

Those Discos ought to have been sold to a proper outfit who understands the business model and particularly the huge investments/cash outlay it requires, Instead of the ones there now who thought they had seen a cash cow.

Why was it not sold to say a GE?, I understand all they asked for was a Sovereign Guarantee which should have been the easier route considering the state of emergency that sector was in. But of course, as dem no go see all their shadiness do and bribe collect, they took the obvious route.

Its a shame though - No (Private) investor is going to touch that sector now with the way it is currently. Alternative power should be the driver now for any serious investor or enterprise
