what if this is a TRICK to sell your macBook Air ?

Would suggest you add the Car on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/8416198/registered-2005-toyota-camry-v6 to the macBook Air, so that should you default, we know you really meant business.

We could even extend rePayment duration from 2 to 3 or 4 months.

Obviously you don't understand what's going on here. The guy you're calling thief has a very good point. The lender is definitely not going to be using the MacBook that was dropped as collateral so how will he know if it's defective? While the guy that claims he wants to borrow money might be cleverly looking for a way to sell off his defective MacBook by using it as a collateral and never paying the loan back. Nobody drops a valuable item (like the car mentioned) as a collateral and not be serious with his loan repayment.

First, the car isn't mine. Only helping to sell for a client. And even if I own it, I won't use as collateral to get 300k.
2nd, go check the price of macbook air 2020, u will know it's worth more than what I am asking for. It's not defective and receipt is intact. If u serious, we can have an agreement but if not just pass please

that's because it just might be a trick to quickly sell the MacBook Air.

If I want to sell a house / Land and people are not quick to respond, I could instead trick them by asking for a loan, then using said property as Collateral. They mostly would agree, unKnown to them, it's a trick because I have no intention of ever Paying back.

even if the macBook laptop is brand new, unBoxed, doesn't mean the person taking it as collateral is in need of One.
Like I said earlier, One got to be careful. The fastest way to sell a land / house (especially if in a prime location), Car, etc is to use it as collateral. Might sound some how but person need sense to stay ahead.

At end of the day, no be say I even get 1kobo to give anyOne. Me just dey help Nairaland create content, while ensuring those interested do not fall victim

To you and the fellow illiterates littering the thread. MacBooks depending on variation sells up to over a Mil per unit. I do not know the exactly one the Op has for sale.

Lets assume it sells for One M. Is One Mil collateral too small for a loan of 300k ? If at all the op chooses to want to stylishly sell, if a new product costs One Mil, would d resell value fall below 400k

I see nothing wrong in what I said. Nowadays, person got be very careful. in fact we shouldn't be so sure of what we know already because street ain't smiling.

Once again, so long safety ain't an issue, you shouldn't have any problem using a Car, or something much more substantial as collateral.

You for just save yourself the trouble, and talk say you dey use the Car go work for now pending when you're able to sell it BUT no, you go follow person like me dey argue.

Initially I wasn't interested in anything. Was just thinking out loud so interested person don't fall into a trap BUT now, make I serious with you.

if after a while, you're unable to get anyOne to lend you money, notify me so I come to your rescue BUT these are my conditions

1. Me and you go enter police station go park that Car, come notify Police in writing say until I come confirm say you don pay me back,you no fit carry the Motor. Also me sef no fit come carry the Motor without you coming in person to confirm say you default in rePayment.

2. Me and You go come go another police station go deposit the Laptop, still give same instruction in writing say not until both of us are there in person to confirm, no one gets to take the laptop whether You or I.

if you gree, I am in. Mind you, you no even talk about interest. Almost like you concluded already there's no need for one
