The one that must have scammed you people is also a religious person the bribe giver is religious. Why paying bribe to secure a job ?

Learning a digital skills too na scam. Those getting tech jobs are those that are connected. I know somene that paid thousands in dollas for a tech job and still got scammed.

Best for him to have used that money to learn a good trade.

lol … why did you decide to stay unemployed for 10 years … do you know that if you had taken that 800k and started a small business with it , business like Thrift clothes , selling of shoes , bags , etc … by now you wud have had like 3 shops ?… or is it that you are not the business type ?… oh you prefer to work under the federal govt to be collecting peanuts … better wise up

Jobs are not gotten by paying for a job you have not seen and confirmed...

What your family should have done is to call the guy and inform him of the intention to give him money if he can search and find a genuine Federal Job for you....

I think your family gave out the money out of depression as you said and with no patience...

That money is gone anyway, he should be refunding the money as you guys didn't follow it the proper way....

There are syndicates in every government ministry, agency or parastatal that defraud job seekers daily and Contractors too.
If i decide to write a book on what those bastards did to me when i was looking for contracts it will be more than 800 pages.

I heard about the contract scam currently going on in the Ebonyi state civil service. All the workers there at the Ebonyi state tax office and ministries are involved.. grin

There is another one going on in NAUTH, Anambra actively using the CMDs Facebook page to swindle job seekers and contractors

You are right, they are like that all over the country.
Nigerians are quick to blame politicians and law enforcement agencies for the rot in the country but the root of corruption is in the civil service. There's no kind of unimaginable corrupt practice they don't do...inflating contracts and awarding it to themselves, forgery, some of them even work in up to 4 different places and collect salaries from all, they have houses and investments abroad.
