Implementation is not a problem.

Ban access to FX from CBN .

If they want to make custom guys richer they can go ahead and try to snuggle through land borders
If he were brave he should have just targeted one country: CHINA. But he's scared.
And China will not take this lying down

Americans feeling what?

Since that we have been a consuming nation, what is the benefit?

Are we progressing?

If you don't know, our lack of production and exportation...too much importation and consumption is why we have a low value currency and high inflation.

Inflation occurs when the volume of money in circulation is way in excess of production activity, in other words, when a nation don't produce but spend most of their money in consumption, inflation occurs.

Go learn the basic principles and stop telling me about America lamenting, last I checked American economy is getting stronger and dollar currency still very valuable.

You can't eat your cake and have it, a lazy consuming system will regress eventually, value creates value, investment and production is creation of value, stop being lazy.
This is the problem with you guys
You just make spurious claims recklessly.

This is a good initiative. but the way it will be implemented is always the problem.

Buharia tried the same policies for 8 years and failed woefully and spectacularly with very minute gains! Why? Because he wasn't supervising the appointed implementors of the policies, they were just doing anyhow. The country bled and came out worse off! It was a disaster!

These kind of policy needs an energetic, healthy (like GEJ), passionate, patriotic, enthusiastic, incorruptible leader like Lee Kuan yew to drive the process to a success.

Does PBAT have the strength, energy, passion, drive, patriotism, committment, sincerity to implement the policies?

The leader has to be up and doing move around the country to supervise and see that the policy is working, not just delegate and hide in a cocoon like APC leaders do.

For a staggering economy, this is a step in the right direction I must say. However, the major problem here is implementation and the measures put in place to quell any negative impact that may come this policy
The same government that drives foreign cars, all his appointees, legislatures and judiciary too. All furnitures in presidential Villa are foreign. He just returned from medical trip from abroad. Is it even possible? No
Maybe for the poor mass. Outright ban will not work because his government concentrated on looting the money realized from floating of Naira and fuel subsidy removal. If he had spent quarter of that money on agriculture, by now Nigeria will be known as one greatest exporter of agricultural products.

This decision is good and must be commended by all, local industries must be encouraged by a available means so that they will thrive and the nation will benefit at large.

It won't happen, there will be competitive bidding. If one local company inflated its own costs, a hundred are willing to bring it down to get the contracts. That's what Umahi is doing right now, Amy contractor with over bloated costs, he cancels the contract and give to other contractors. No time.
Same mistake we made on rice production
Re: Tinubu Bans Importation Of Foreign Goods, Unveils New Industrialisation Policy by Guestmale: 1:24pm On May 06, 2025
This is a good policy, that will not only help our local industries, but will also strengthens our naira, my only prayer is that God will touch the hearts of nay sayers and greedy local manufacturers to allow it succeed.

Hahahahahahahahahah I laugh in Benue and okirika languages. What can we produce? Do we have mechanized system of farming or locally made system to feed millions of people. Subsistence farming are manly family needs.

He should show by example.
Start patronising Nigerian hospitals, motorcade should be made in Nigeria exclusively. So he and his cabinet should start patronising innoson.
Walk the talk.

No be today we started hearing this.
Buhari said so too.
Radarada.

You're praising and applauding something you don't understand.

What does Nigeria produce that's sufficient for its people? Just wait until prices skyrocket again – you'll start complaining.

Some of you guys are really clueless.
Prices of LOCAL goods will skyrocket. Guess where that extra money will be going - definitely NOT to China.
It is NOT a bad policy. The only downside is that countries like China may retaliate. But what will they retaliate with - they can't stop buying our oil. They can only tell us to pay all money we owe them and no longer lend us money - which is good for us in the long run!
I can't criticize this policy though it doesn't favour me personally

Same thing PMB did for 8 solid years and it became a disaster because of their lazy attitude it wasn't properly implemented and poorly supervised

This same lazy implementation attitude will play out again just watch and see.

Unlike OBJ and GEJ

APC are filled with lazy leaders when it comes to implementation

This policy ought to come when we have put our house in order by stabilizing power and improving other factors of production. As it is now, it will make Nigerian producers exploit the people.

That's the point: you'd be FORCED to produce. Notice how Nigeria textile industry went away due to China.

When are you gonna be finally healed from the defeat of last general election? Your Messiah that was ordained by God and ruled just a single state for eight years, can you show us his workings while in office? Maybe you finally be healed and your cohorts that liked your comments.

Hatred and bitterness comment, when GEJ was there why didn't he implement it, instead all the money we made on crude oil was stolen by his government.

And what would be the incentive to do that when we are flooded with cheap goods from China?
This is a case where you can only induce change in behavior by creating scarcity.

It will take a very looooong time for them to get healed. Every good news about Nigeria always make them sad and that's why God may not allow their preferred candidate to smell that presidency.

They ought to appoint you Minister of Information so that you can tell the cocaine sniffing looting machine the bitter truth to enable him vacate that office by 2027 and allow competent, sound, incorruptible men to move Nigeria forward for the good of all Nigerians and not for some selected Nigerians from one region undecided
