ā”In the Lyman direction, Russian forces continue to advance and have expanded their buffer zone around the village of Makiivka, Luhansk Oblast. Russian forces advanced with three attack vectors, to the southwest, west and northwest. They were able to seize new positions in the treelines on the tactical heights to the northwest and new positions in the forest plantations in the low lying ground to the west. Additionally, Russian forces advanced southwest and gained a foothold in the chain of forests and treelines on the opposite heights, capturing a trench strongpoint. |

ā”US Space-Based Missile Defense Could Cost $542 Billion, CBO Says. US may need to spend up to $542 billion over 20 years to develop and launch a network of space-based interceptors, the Congressional Budget Office said, putting a rough cost estimate on an unproven part of President Donald Trumpās proposed āGolden Domeā defense system. The network for space-based interceptors could cost $161 billion at the low end, the office said in an assessment prepared for a subcommittee of the Senate Armed Services Committee. The price tag will depend on launch costs and the number of weapons put into orbit, it said.

Ukraine has launched a massive drone campaign against Russia this month. On the surface, one would think it's just Ukraine being Ukraine. But this drone attack is larger than what we have seen in a long time. The barrage keeps coming literally every day since around the beginning of this month. At this point, it is clear that Ukraine is using those drones attacks to prevent or discourage world leaders from visiting Russia for the May 9 Victory Day celebrations. |

shoodboi2:It's a regular occurrence. If you know the amount of drone attacks Russia repels in a week, you'd be surprised. Information coming out of this war is tightly controlled. I don't think any leader is worried about any attack on Victory Day parade. It's the West that are actually worried that Russia might stage a false flag attack. Because they know what comes next after that. |

ā”Merz Fails to Become Chancellor in First Round Christian Democrat leader Friedrich Merz failed to secure enough votes in parliament today to be elected Germanyās new chancellor ā an unexpected twist. Merz received 310 votes in favor, 307 against, and 3 abstentions. He needed 316. Despite CDU and its coalition partner SPD holding 328 seats, the result suggests internal dissent. This is unprecedented in German political history. A chancellor failing on the first vote after a successful coalition deal. Merz left parliament; CDU called an emergency meeting, and other parties are also holding talks. The Bundestag will not hold a second round of voting today on Merz's candidacy for the post of chancellor. |

WriteerNg:I know quite well. It's routine at this point. That's why I said "Ukraine being Ukraine." They fire at Russia literally everyday and only make news out of the very few successful ones. But this one is larger than the previous ones. A considerable part of it also appears to be targeted at Moscow instead of Crimea and Mariupol and those nearby areas. |

LordAdam16:The problem is, Trump won't let the neocon war ship sail, and if it has already, it won't find an easy spot to anchor. Unless, via a massive false flag operation. Everything is possible with Mossad, like 9/11. But I'm still betting on Trump to beat them to the game. A massive war right now will see the US losing its economic primacy. There will be no coming back from it. That said, they still need a land bridge for any meaningful attack on Iran to succeed. An amphibious adventure will end up in another waste of time and resources for the Yankees. Iran will easily repel and reply to such attacks with equal force and devastating pinpoint accuracy. Thanks to it's proving missile technology. Unfortunately for the Yankees/Mossad gang, Iraq and Afghanistan, which are the only two land borders to launch such an operation are not ready for such exercise. I hope it stays that way. |

Appleyard:Mossad gang do not care about the outcome of the war. Iraq and Afghanistan were success stories for Israel. Saddam is gone and Iraq/Afghanistan directly led to HTS toppling Assad. Modest AD protection in Iraq and Syria are gone, giving the IAF unprecedented operational freedom. The national interests of the US and Israel do not always align. The only inconvenience for Israel wrt Iran is that they'll suffer direct consequences. Still, that would not dissuade the war hawks. They've sacrificed lives and limbs shadowing insurgents in Gaza. Dead Israelis is fair game if the objective of a hot war in Iran is achieved. In academia, you'll find researchers and savants who spend decades of their lives researching a topic, chasing a breakthrough. The same phenomenon exists in foreign policy circles. War in Iran is a lifelong goal for folks like Satanyahu, Graham, most of the top echelon at Mossad, and co. Graham was heavily in favor of pushing Ukraine to take on Russia in an unwinnable war. They looked at Russia, its capabilities, a war right on its border, and said f*ck it. What makes you think anything about the operational challenges of prosecuting a war in Iran is going to give them pause? -Lord |

Mentioning the Houthis and ISIS in the same sentence is bulls.t, propaganda that people like you hope that if repeated enough, will become true. The truth is that they are not in the same league. ISIS is America and Israel's secret weapon. BTW. Has US ever funded the Houthis? obedience4: |
