While the ruling party is busy swallowing members and governors of the main opposition party, this one with a single state governor is suspending the said governor. If this Obi can't manage this small, tiny party, every reasonable fellow knows he is ill-equipped to manage the affairs of this country.

Forget all the rubbish twitter ranting and ramblings, Obi is presently worse off than he was in 2023. He grew weaker politically.

Kenneth Okonkwo left him, called him a weak leader while exiting the door. Months after, Obi continues to prove him right. Oseloka Obaze, his key ally, left him last week. Abure left his side after suporting him against Lamidi Apapa. He lost lawmakers to the APC, recently to the PDP in Enugu state.

I'm sure he will lose Otti very soon to the APC. Ireti Kingibe too will leave to either APC or PDP - this one is certain; Obidients hate and insult her every chance they get and she is fighting in the FCT for survival against Wicked Wike.

Obi is a weak leader and doesn't possess the mental toughness to navigate Nigerian political terrain. He's better off as a VP.

Take Anambra for example, how can a suppose national leader be irrelevant in his state politics. Today, in Anambra politics, Soludo and Obiano are much relevant. If you doubt me or think I'm saying rubbish, wait for the result of the next Anambra election and see the votes scored by the person he will back.

Compared with Tinubu, Atiku, Kwankwanso, these men all have relevance and control over their individual state politics.

He doesn't have the grassroot political structure or network to lead a coalition neither does he have the spending power. He may not start another party but look for an empty part, negotiate for it's collection from the current holders and restructure it to accommodate obidients, even if coalition will eventually work, he will use it as a bargaining platform on the table. Every one knows he doesn't own LP. And it's very important he has a structure he can use as his own.

Have you ever thought about the negative influence of the obidients in all these? Fine, they were able to gain popularity using the social media when the sitting president whom they called a dullard or a clone was asleep and was fighting his party's national leader for God knows why. Obi and his gangs wouldn't have had such a chance if Asiwaju, Obasanjo or Ganduje was in control because they will definitely give it to the obidients anyhow they want it either in the cyberspace or in the outer space station.

I don't think a politician who cannot stand opposition and instead upstands opposition is a strategist. There was a strong sentiment in Lagos when PDP had a chance to win the governorship in 2003 under Funsho Williams. You are asking irrelevant questions. Running solo is different from leading a coalition.

If he runs solo for the presidency today, he will gather votes, but he can't lead a coalition. Atiku got more votes than him in 2023, has more political clout and network and has far more money to spend. So tell me why should Obi lead it when Atiku is still alive? So you think Atiku will spend all the money and surrender his political structure because Obi has obidents and got 6 million votes in 2023. Lmaoooo. You are funny if you think a coalition that will remove Tinubu will run on "we no dey give shishi."

Go and check how much votes Buhari got in the elections he ran for before APC - 12 million every time he ran. Yet, Tinubu who has never run for presidency lead the ACN+CPC coalition - why? He had more money, political clout, and diverse political structure and network than Buhari.

Well, you have another line of thought there.
I believe the obidients ought to repackage and restrategize given the current political terrain, and that's why Obi banking on coalition to win will be a pipe dream. Because as you said, the current president will ensure it doesn't carry the necessary weight.
But, one thing I know, 2027 will be another political strategy different from what we've seen before and I believe students of politics are lucky to be witnessing this drama first hand
