Putindbutt:If IMF is saying Nigeria is no longer on the list of debtors, fine !! But on j term is it that Tinubu repaid n clear the loan is it base on " Debt relief" or "bad debt written off" which ![]() saying we are not on the list is not tenable enough, what if tomorrow they put us back on the list then what do we use to hold IMF Paris club expressively gave Nigeria debt relief to certain amount .. that is binding logically/legally Agreement or promises must be clear, we are not toddlers |

theredaddy:This one is still proving he's an illiterate . Even when it's written in simple English. I think IMF wiped off our loans free of charge, we didn't pay one kobo . Receive sense. |

Kamalex2:Thank you. Please send it to Helius, Obiedun, Peterobiisathie, flokii, or Yarimo. They need it more than I do. Those folks are doing a tough job defending Escobar here. |

Urgent1Million:They didn't take more loans. The exchange rate really affected us bad. It was around 700 in 2023 but moved to 1500 in 2024. This is massive and will affect expenditure. I just hope we get things right in this country |

When you have no achievements anything becomes achievements. You removed subsidy and devastated the naira. Then you borrowed 13 billion dollars. But because you paid 1.9 billion dollars. Your dense supporters have created 100 threads. Meanwhile this is Nigeria external debt.

theredaddy:debt was cleared two days ago, and IMF has removed Nigeria from their web of debtors, how can IMF come in clear terms ago. Abi u want them to come to Nigeria, carry mike, organize a concert and tell u that Nigeria's debt had been cleared? |

SmartPolician:It definitely doesn't increase your account balance but your constructive criticism speaks volume of your love for Nigeria not your biased view because a known liar (Peter Obi) wasn't given the mantle of leadership of this country. |

Urgent1Million:It reduced in dollars, the more stable currency. Yes or yes? A whooping $20billion debts less. Now, minus IMF own join.

zero8zero:Like your bro collected your family's esusu and paid....?! Did we collect not to pay?! Where are the amenities to show...?! Amnesty progs for bandits. Rice gifts....?! The way yous spew your hearts kinda find it hard how y'all sleep at all |
| Re: Nigeria Removed From List Of Countries Indebted To IMF by Urgent1Million: 10:35am On May 08, 2025 |
Image123:Good observation that it reduced in dollars but the dollar is not our currency. We need to give naira to get dollars and the value of the naira has reduced enormously. That's the more reason I don't see this as an achievement in any way. If someone lends you $1,000 worth N750,000 and when you pay back the N750,000, you still owe him $500. Would you call that an achievement? |

richmond500:The crashing of the naira worsened the situation but yes, Tinubu-led federal government has taken a lot of loans. In fact, Tinubu has borrowed more than N13 trillion in the last 20 month. https://dailytrust.com/fg-borrows-n13-21trn-from-world-bank-in-20-months/ |

Urgent1Million:We earn in dollars as a nation. The big part of our debt is also foreign. Our FAAC depends a lot on how much we make from oil which is in dollars.
