Good morning My nairalanders, I really don’t beleive that this DRIVER license of a thing would delays my e-hailing business. I’ve invested #12m on a car and still don’t see a green light about my DL.

This is why I asked if it’s possible for me to use my friend to register and start parking while my own DL is still In processing. This is is just telling me stories upon stories, I’ve paid for around 2 months and I haven’t even go to capturing 🤦🏻 he called this morning now and still spitting what I didn’t want to hear ( driving school certificate not ready, if using back doors I might not be able to renew when expired) 👈🏼 among other stories.

What I need from Nairalanders now is 👇🏼

What is the process to register my friend on the App while I drive the car ? ( please I request a response from whom have answers )

Wouldn’t it give me issues while driving ? ( I know how to settle myself out of any police/via/FRSC mess )

I just need to know if it’s possible or not so I can accept the fate that with or without my DL I can work.

Please am open to the truths it won’t hurt me

*** I have other job, I just want to have the e-hailing experience.

SOS 🆘 Nairalanders
I am going through same experience. I was given a driving clearance though which I don't think Bolt/Uber would accept. Over 2 months for me and i am yet to do capturing. The excuse remains that there's no network. I think there's a possibility to use a friend's DL but input your picture, a guy spoke on it in past pages but then he was countered on moral ground. I feel it's a loophole that can be used just make sure your friend is aware and most importantly your vehicle papers are complete.

I really don't know what u want to hear from anybody here that u don't already know as an adult.

Forgery is a crime
Impersonation is a crime

What again do u want to hear? U want someone to tell u it's okay for ur friend to register while u use the account??
Or u want someone to tell u to put ur passport in his license and use the forged license to register??
In both cases, there are layers of checks that will search u out over time if not by the app company then in ur daily encounters on the road with law enforcement u will be discovered.
It's a different thing if u have a valid license but an App company blocks u. In ur case, u don't have driver's license at all. So anything u want to do will not only be against company laws but against the law of the land.

To register, as an ehailing driver u need DL, passport, phone number, email address and bank account details.
It's the face that gets captured during registration that stays on d app for riders to see. If ur friend registers and u are using the app to work, riders will say u are a different person and complain to d app company. Or say u are a kidnapper. Don't put ur life at risk.
Secondly, often randomly, the app companies do facial verification before u can go/continue online. Will u go looking for the friend that owns d account to do facial recognition for u? And If u can't verify immediately especially if it's day time, then it will raise suspicion.

Fresh DL now takes about 3-4months to get captured and slip given and a further 3months to get your Permanent card all things being equal. So if u are impatient after 2months maybe ur plug didn't tell u it will take minimum 3months to capture.

Either u are based in an area the network is poor or in an area u don't easily get orders. Reason why u will stay for hours and not get a trip.
How can u not get trip when in a busy place but get in an area that's not busy?? because even if u have any issues then it is only in a busy place u will get orders. Even if network is poor but in a busy place, there will be enough trips to go round everybody provided u have atleast 1mbbs on ur phone.

Generally if u don't get trips, then it's either ur network, ur phone or the area is dry.

That man complains every week and has been making money in the same state over 3 years now. No time to explain anything to him again. He should move to a better state.

See so many cities are worse than Lagos even Paris. Yet Lagos is far ahead of other states. Why do you have to come here and wail every market day when you can make your money and move on with your life.
Paris ? In terms of what and what ?

Same city Tinubu runs to every market day

No driver was willing to go for the amount on the app. 15k to Phase 1. All of them will accept, and cajole me to pay 20k.

Although they hardly used ACs, they accepted and carried me to my destination.

It's disgusting to be honest. Drivers approaching you and appealing that you cancel.

Those airport ehailing guys are just lazy opportunists. There MO is just do morning trip from VGC/Sangotedo to Airport/Ikeja and wait at airport to carry Lekki/Sangotedo again and they have closed for the day. I always look at them as unserious bunch. I never wait at the airport, if I don't get a trip as I am dropping off, I dey drive towards computer village or GRA and immediately trip enters. Rather than wait for hours hoping to get long distance trip.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiLDvgPMY-E?feature=shared
What is this supposed to mean? Why are you trying so hard to derail this thread. Anyways let me help you
Soludo made a statement which some of us have to correct him during President Tinubu’s visit..

“The last time a president visited for a commissioning was in 2012 for a brewery”
- Gov. Chukwuma Soludo

The statement is viewed as an attempt to attack Obi who Governor Soludo has never shy away from attacking at every opportunity right from 2023 Presidential election campaign.

Now let me set the record straight as a citizen of the state who have been following events in our state for years.

In 2012, President Jonathan visited Anambra State and commissioned:
(1) Inaugurate Orient Petroleum Oil.

(2) SabMiller Brewery

(3) Orange Drugs Company

(4) Krisoral Company

(5) Onitsha Inland Port

(6) 8 lanes Onitsha Head Bridge Enugu Onitsha expressway to Umunya with new parts bridge Nkpor.
Among others

Above listed are some of the triggers to economic growth of the state. I therefore state that the very statement from Soludo was demarketing of the state.

In 2010, President Jonathan visited Anambra State and commissioned:

(1) Anambra State University Teaching Hospital.

(2) Anambra State Secretariat

(3) Kenneth Dike Library

(4) Anambra State Emergency Management Complex

(5) Parental Drugs Factory of Juhel Pharmaceutical Industries

(6) so So many roads example : Zik’s Avenue Awka to Nkpor road and Bridges.

(7) the commissioning of the National Agency for Food, Drug, Administration and Control, NAFDAC’s upgraded ultra modern area quality control laboratory, at Agulu, Anambra State and many other projects.

(cool the commissioning of the assembly plant of the first indigenous Nigerian auto manufacturing company in Nigeria, Innoson Motor Manufacturing in Nnewi, Anambra State.

President Obasanjo had earlier visited during Peter Obi era in 2006/2007.
Projects Commissioned by President Olusegun Obasanjo are as follows:

(1) Onitsha Business Park: A strategic initiative aimed at boosting commerce and industry in the region.

(2) Revenue House in Awka: Established to improve the state's revenue collection processes.

(3) Anambra State Fire Service Headquarters in Awka: Built to enhance emergency response capabilities.

(4) Flagging off of Awka-Nibo-Nise-Enugwu Ukwu ring road

So it was sad to read Soludo said that what he said.
I have being trying to read what my governor marketed to the visiting President or what he used the opportunity to market as the chief salesman of the state by virtue of his position as the governor, but I am so disappointed with his statement which did not add any value to the state.
