FORMER CPC STAKEHOLDERS FORUM COMMENDS PRESIDENT BOLA TINUBU REFORMS, SAYS IT IS A WORKING POLICY

Astute politicians on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change CPC has thrown their weights behind the transformative leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu beyond 2027 owing to what they described as 'A Working Presidency"

The group led by Former Governor of Nasarawa State Senator Umaru Tanko Al-makura said, the CPC bloc of the All Progressives Congress is determined to contribute to the success of the present administration and affirmed that there is no faction or division amongst members

Senator Al-makura further appealed to Nigerians to rally round the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President and urged those craving for immediate solutions to Nigerian challenges to remain resolute and confident under the APC Administration

Some of the Chieftains at the world press briefing were Governor Dikko Umaru Rada of Katsina State, former governor of Katsina State Aminu Bello Masari, Former Minority Leader of House of Representatives Faruk Adamu Aliyu, Chairman of NDLEA General Buba Marwa amongst other Chieftains.

Tomorrow in Abuja, a faction of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), led by former Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency Senator Tanko Almakura, with the strong backing of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, and the former Governor of Katsina State, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, will hold a press conference to formally declare their total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Atiku announced coalition, Tinubu's party received defectors and still receive defectors. Even Atiku's party is not keen on Atiku's coalition project.

By 6th February, 2013, APC was already formed to wrestle power from PDP in 2015. The coalition is a contusion of aggrieved and confused power mongers.

Some think the interest of Mr Al Makura from Nasarawa and former Katsina governor and several other northern political heavy weights in APC will somehow converge and melt together with that of Mr El Rufai from Kaduna and Mr Atiku from Adamawa under a so-called 'one North'.

Many politicians of Northern extraction will put their personal interest above any 'one - North interest', especially when despite the noise, there is no actual evidemce that Mr Tinubu has specifically targeted the North for poor treatment.

The CPC people supporting the President know that the President may return the APC presidential candidacy to the CPC part of APC come 2031. So it is in their interest to support the President now.

Why on earth do people think these ones will leave their interest in APC where they are leaders and move to Messrs El Rufai and Atiku who have nothing to offer, at least for now.

People also forget that most PDP northern heavyweights who colluded with APC to get rid of Mr Jonathan have never recovered to become anything in politics again. They lost their chance in politics forever.

Many of today's Northern APC politicians will have learnt from that episode- that the sort of treachery against your own party in pursuit of some vague 'Northern interest' come at a very heavy personal price.
