When the case came up today, Senator Akpoti's lawyer could not explain to the Court why processes have not been served on Senator Godswill Akpabio and Mr. Mfon Patrick since February when the case was filed.

Apparently infuriated by Senator Akpoti's Lawyer's obvious ignorance of the High Court Civil Procedure Rules, the presiding Judge thundered, "don't come and stare at the ceiling. You have to be serious about this case and resort to the Rules".

Counsel for Mr. Mfon Patrick, Fidel Albert, Esq informed the Court that he was appearing under protest as his client had equally not been served with the Court processes and only became aware of the case on social media.

That is too broad a statement.

I disagree. Imagery is important when it comes to storytelling, but it is not everything. The acting of Marlon Brando and Al Pacino for instance can't be replicated on print. The background soundtrack of the movie and the emotions it triggers when watching it can't be transmitted through a novel.

The only way you can say The Godfather novel is better than the movie is if you are FAR more bibliophile than you are a cinephile.

No movie can recreate (not to mention better) the vivid animated verbal paintings of Mario Puzo. Reading Puzo's books then seeing the movie adaptations would have you immediately feeling like something is missing. You can't place a finger on what it is, but you know something is missing. Dan Brown's books are the same. The movie adaptations of "The Da Vinci Code" and "Lost Symbol" were even worse.

Hats off to Brando and Al Pacino but, no, nothing beats reading the actual books.

You have to be a Mario Puzo fanatic to notice the difference. His girlfriend did a good job though. But "good" isn't good enough when attempting to replicate Puzo - you have to be at your best. And he's the best in his genre.

You can recreate J.H. Chase somewhat, I think. Blondes, brutes, and blood. And you can get castings to bring his characters to life.

I don't think the case would prove anything, she should have handled things differently from how she did... assuming she was facing discrimination from Akpabio because she refused his sexual advances.

Sexual assault is difficult to prove without evidence.
If I kiss a lady without her consent, it's sexual assault, however if there's no video or picture evidence of me doing do, I can just say "let her drop evidence" when she accuse me of sexually assaulting her.

I believe that is probably what is happening here too.

I believe that is probably what is happening here too.

You lot keep forgetting we’re talking about a full-grown adult here. Natasha is a woman who’s not new to politics, not new to dealing with men, and definitely not some underage girl who can’t make basic decisions or is easily manipulated, influenced, or intimidated.

If only you guys could set aside the feminist part of you for a second, maybe there’d be some hope of actually using facts and logic to reach a more reasonable conclusion.
