You're an intelligent person. I had made this recommendation long time ago. Since PDP + others = APC, let's move everything to the right hand side and the equation will solve itself. That way, we can all go back to where we started. New parties will emerge and the new cycle of defection will eventually lead us to the same place , after all our politicians want us to remain in the same spot as a country.

Let everybody defect to the ruling party. Period. And no stewpeed agency should bother conducting any selection. Just announce whoever you want as usual. Whoever is not comfortable shd go to court. And the court will decide whoever they want and we continue in the same cycle.
