Those deeper life leaders problem cannot be solved by this teaching. It's somehow a mixture of hatred, unforgiveness, jealously and protectionism that makes them discipline, frustrate, blackmail and chase away their young ones who practice speaking in tongues, who are gifted in the prophetic or are are aggressively involved in leading others to engage in prayer. Rather they look at legalistic rules within the church. They look at the church traditions to find what they can use to punish you and kill you. The best weapon is so called disciplinary actions. You could be suspended for up to one or two years in a row and while you are under suspension rumours about you being occultic, rebellious will be going round. The members in their simplistic and sanctimonious ways will start avoiding you for fear of the high handedness of their pastor not descending on them.

Deeperlife today is almost like a cult with fearful followers of high handed pastors who are not obedient to scriptures despite that they preach it. Those pastors are more about maintaining their control over the people than anything else. Or else, how do you explain their actions? Where in every location of deeper life, those who speak in tongues while leading prayer during holy ghost impartation services are considered occultic or rebels and have to serve disciplinary actions. Deeperlife is like that everywhere but the more religious members try to deny the coercion and erroneous application of disciplinary action in settling personal scores by deeper life leaders. Pastor Kumuyi, you have tried. But at this stage nothing you can do to change those pastors, not even your teachings except you discipline them anyhow the way they discipline people. That's why is very important to stick to what the scripture says and not just bringing out doctrines that is based on your own opinion.

Understanding of scriptures isn't easy for imperfect humans that's why Jesus instructed his apostles that he chose to take the lead never to establish any form of teaching singlehandedly they must be at least two in number so that by the time they pray for Jesus to come and chairman the meeting he will guide them by means of God's Holy Spirit! Matthew 18:20; John 14:26-27
So a man can't form a teaching because based on his own understanding alone it will backfire.

. The Deeper Life's problem was created by Kumuyi himself, who, for the longest, used many of these backhanded approaches to kick out those who did not adhere to his ideas and rules from the very beginning.

My younger sis was having rigos fever.
This woman placed Chosen vest on her instead of rushing her to hospital.
I arrived home and was shocked to see my sis shaking with Chosen vest placed on her.

I remember when Deeper life dedicated their new HQ in Gbagada. The sound engineer they brought was a Nigerian-American. Lady had zero f-cks to give. She left her hair open with her long attachments and wore trousers. I was surprised to be honest.

A number of these churches will be in crises in the near future. With aging GO's, nebulous plans of succession and declining populations, it will be hard to see them maintain the many branches they have around.

Kumuyi go explain tire. All of a sudden, you want to change the doctrine. I believe his pastors are right to protest because any change would mean he has been lying to them all along.

When we tell them all this fanatism is human imagination. God don't give a sh*t about what you believe as far as you are doing the right thing and contribute positive energy to the universe to make it better.

God does not have religion, if he has any it means he is cheating his creations. Human created religion for mind control and psychological policing. Be it African Traditional Religion, Hinduism, Budaism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam etc. Just seek for spirituality and knowledge you will understand this life is cool.

The challenge is that Deeper Life, good as it is, either embraces the new world reality by relaxing some unnecessary rules. Or it will end as a church only for the elderly and subsequently dies and be forgotten by generations to come.

This is what the GO is seeing and wants to avoid but his pastors ain't seeing it yet. And he must make them see it before he leaves so his labour will live forever.

JEHOVAH'S WITNESS is operating at a different level.
They have been steadfast, resolute and committed.
I hold no grudge against them. They downplay commercialization of churches.
They entertain persecutions a lot, in fact more than several Christian bodies.
Seems in their church everyone is at same level irrespective of your degree, financial acquaintance and contacts.
And it seems they obey the Bible the most:
-They hardly disturb neighbors during prayers.
-They frown at intimidation and flamboyant lifestyles.
-They ensure financial gifts are covered and never displeased at whatever they recieve.
-Their members would make good politicians but they frown at politics
I respect them. I judge based on actions and not what I'm told.

Quite true. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are actually one of the few denominations who are still following Christ. Most churches now are headed by motivational speakers who only use the name of Jesus to preach other things. The goal is to attract members to their church and the members will bring the money.

They remain the most peaceful Christian denomination.
They do not pay tithes. They are the only Christian denomination yet to be commercialized. They are my favourite.

They do not recite the national anthem.

I respect these people. They don't worship God because they are scared of hell. The truth is, if Christians imbibed some of their lifestyles the world won't be this corrupt. They don't do the fall and die prayer. They understand love more than these other churches.

I am convinced that JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are the real religion, they do everything in line with the bible.

I would love to be a JEHOVAH'S WITNESS, because of their gentle life. Relaxed service and programs(not those stressful and loud types), and serenity of their church yard. Infact, its this serenity of their abode that blows my mind!

But the thing that worries me, is their misled teachings. How can you say that we are not going to die, but remain on earth and unite with our love ones and live happily together forever!
