Segun2025:Orientation and Matriculation is 13th and 14th respectively. It's not possible to fix exams for those dates. That is the main reason final timetable is not out yet |

This NOUN is a very confused school. How? BED students go for two sets Teaching Practice during their studies. Teaching Practice 1 lasting 6 weeks in Year 3 Teaching Practice 2 lasting 6 weeks in Year 4 That's a total of 12 weeks of Teaching Practice (3 months). While... PGDE students go for just 1 Teaching Practice during their studies lasting just 6 weeks. Why? Tomorrow they will say BED graduates are better than PGDE graduates. NOUN should make it make sense. What type of PGDE graduates are they raising? |

FameGlory:You don't expect PGDE students to do 12 weeks teaching practice. B.Ed is not only meant to introduce you to methods used in teaching and learning but it's meant to ground you very well in teaching and learning . PGDE cannot teach you everything you need to know about education. So just accept it and move on. |

I saw Good Study Guide among my courses in PGDE, but someone told me it's not compulsory if you did B.Sc in NOUN since you already offered it during that time. Please how true is this? |

Adeskillz:You are to write to your department so it won't be used for you. My advice: register the course and write the exams. |

FameGlory:I hope you are not in the field of education. NOUN is a very confused school. You think they woke up one morning after serious bout of alcohol to write the bills, policies, procedures, rules and regulations guiding the founding of the institution right? How?raised on the below.... BED students go for two sets Teaching Practice during their studies. That's the curriculum with its syllabus and courses as it were drawn for B. Ed Education. While...Correct Why?They are graduates transitioning into education Tomorrow they will say BED graduates are better than PGDE graduates.Reality in Nigeria says it is not always true. Most going through PGDE programme are already working within the school environment sometimes for years and have needed practical experience far far ahead of their B. Ed graduate having more theoretical experience and yet to go through the proper nitty gritty of the profession within the school environment. NOUN should make it make sense. The faculty of education in NOUN is making sense out of it that's why many are enrolled for it yearly. What type of PGDE graduates are they raising? As good as those going through B. Ed programme and most of the courses to be registered for while going through PGDE are all principal courses or core foundations of the field of education. |
