Hi everyone, I was thinking about my partner (we're not married yet) applying early for the reunion visa and in the 18 months+ when we get an appointment, we would have already completed the marriage and other formalities. My question: is this allowed and/or could it cause issues during the appointment if they see that the date on the marriage certificate is later than when the visa application was first submitted? |

pepakov581:Best thing to do is to apply now. It won’t be an issue. |

Enjay1998:Alright, thank you. I guess it would be best to delay the change of surname to avoid the bureaucratic stress and delays, right? |

pepakov581:It’s also good to change surname immediately after wedding. It won’t matter too. They will only ask for affidavit for name reconciliation. My wife did all this. Use the current passport to book appointment. |

MyAfricanBodyEn:Hmmm, let's help you make the calculation, the embassy just finished appointment for those that applied June 2023, There is 11 months between July 2023 and May 2024, If the embassy continues with this slow pace, it may take another btw 18-24 months to get an appointment. After interview it takes another 6-8 months to get a visa, making it atleast 2 years, ie 2027 in the best case scenario. All these is if the embassy continues at the current rate of giving appointments. If they get slower, the dates shifts even further. If they get faster, then it comes closer. I do not know how, but if unusual miracle happens, it can even get shorter. Above all, I wish you great patience and peace as you wait. |

drizzt27:Okay, thanks for the correction on the date.... As for tips, I really don't have any tip outside what is already in the previous pages here. So, you can try to go through the typical list of interview questions. I actually don't know which page number that was though. Also, I believe except the typical questions already stated here, the rest totally depends on each person's case and profile. |

Is there anyone who has a spouse in stuttgart here? Please can anyone tell how long after the interview does it take for the ABH in stuttgart to send a mail to the spouse after the interview. I've heard that the ABH there is slow in processing things generally, but I'd like to know if it applies to the reunion visa also. |

Good morning everyone, has anyone been able to book an appointment for a tourist visa on the portal. I have tried to book on two consecutive nights by 12 midnight but I couldn't. Has the time changed now? |

Hi everyone, I have a question please. I applied for an interview date in January 2025 with the old system (i.e. no proof of funds or admission letter) and got the usual confirmation email from the embassy. Now that there is a new system, do i need to register again with the new system? Or will the old application in January be honoured? I‘ll appreciate responses, thank you very much. |

Yeyewande05:Are you referring to family reunion visa or student visa? If it's student visa, I believe there is a student visa thread, you can try there. Maybe you can get faster responses. |

This will guide us Presently the embassy are on the people that book their appointment in July 2023 ( Noticed that from this trend) July/August 2023 = May/June 2025 August/September 2023 = June/July 2025 September/October 2023 = July/August 2025 October/November 2023 = August/ September 2025 November/ December 2023 = September/October 2025 December 2023/January 2024 = October 2025/ November 2025 January /February 2024 = November/ December 2025 And so on, so as you can see the pattern. I hope this helps someone. We will all be victorious |

"Good evening, My wife, our two daughters (both under 8 years old), and I have a Blue Card appointment scheduled for next two weeks under the Skilled Immigration Visa program. We've received pre-approval and would like to prepare for the interview. Could you please help us anticipate possible questions that may be asked during the interview for: 1. Myself (main applicant) 2. My spouse Your guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you" |

sojeokeowo2014:When I did mine (2022), the questions were related to what I do and who I will be working for. Don’t know if things changed but if it didn’t, then it is just questions you already know the answer to. Just don’t lie. You have a Blue card appointment, which means you have a job waiting for you, a big deal. The questions is just formality. |

Celebrimbor:Thanks, do they ask questions about accomodation you and your family intended to stay. Because i am finding it difficult to book or see accomodation from Nigeria. And I learnt that airbnb ot hotel cant be used for city registration. How do I go about for myself and family, we planning to travel together |
