If everyone keeps jumping ship to the ruling party, are we still running a democracy or just dressing up autocracy?
The next election won’t just be interesting, it’ll test whether we still have real political choice in this country.

I'm still repeating it, the kind of beating the fraud from Agulu will receive in 2027, he will be beaten as if he had offended Amadioha or collected the wife of Sango. That nonsense campaign against muslim-muslim ticket that was used to manipulate the sentiments of the people which generated uproar in Lagos and everywhere in the last election, is dead right now. Ōbi must contest.. must!

After God, na Tinubu 💪 God bless Nigeria
Stop quoting nonsense...

Is it because corruption , bribery and all social vices strive and bear fruits in Nigeriahuh

The voice of the voiceless not heard?? ....instead of using Public funds to reduce price of fuel, crop down inflation of food and r duce hunger in Nigeria, the money will be used to bribe and buy people to join APC....

Tell me who uses sane mind to join APC if not to know if he or she can be given peanuts just like youhuh

That's the strategy....reduce their purchasing power, suffer them with hunger, take away money from them, then they become your friend begging for peanuts....

The intelligence quotient of some of you Tinubu rodents is at a low level where they can be truthfully classified as very dangerous people.

The woman clearly stated that the manipulative Tinubu APC machinery in Lagos has made it impossible for her to continue doing her work in good conscience.

We know that Ms. Ekong is a compromised Tinubu stooge, but that does not negate the fact that there are others who work for the obidient movement concensciously. Kudos to the lady.

Richtaiwo:
The pursuit of political power in Nigeria has become highly competitive, with many actors employing strategies they deem most effective in line with prevailing political trends. If either Peter Obi or Atiku had the opportunity to restructure Nigeria into a quasi-single party system to facilitate their rise to power, they would likely seize it without hesitation.

It is therefore a waste of time crying blue murder when a political opponent leverages the system more effectively. Politics, by nature, is a contest of strategy, and each actor will exploit available means to achieve their objectives.
True, politics is a game of strategy, and no one’s hands are completely clean. But that’s exactly why we must speak up. If we normalize power grabs disguised as strategy, we risk eroding the very foundation of democracy. Healthy competition keeps leaders in check, but without it, we’re just heading for unchecked power, no matter who’s in charge

grin Democracy is the right to free choice of association. If everyone CHOOSES to belong to one party, then democracy is satisfied
Agreed, democracy is about choice. But when that choice becomes heavily influenced by fear, incentives, or lack of viable alternatives, it stops being free.
A democracy without diversity of voices becomes an echo chamber maybe, but definitely not healthy.

Insults don’t strengthen your argument, they only expose your bias. I didn’t mention any candidate here, I only raised a valid concern about power imbalance.
If defending democracy sounds like support for your opponent, maybe the real issue isn’t me, but your assumptions.

“Courage is more exhilarating than fear and in the long run it is easier. We do not have to become heroes overnight. Just one step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it is not as dreadful as it appeared, discovering we have the strength to stare it down.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

But you're on social media talking freely, insulting the Govt and making your choices. It is only narrow minded people that thinks things must go along their sentiments otherwise it's not acceptable. A sign of fascism.

I respect your viewpoint, but questioning government actions is not an insult, it's a civic duty. A healthy democracy thrives on dissent and debate, not silence or blind loyalty.
If we can’t raise concerns without being labelled narrow-minded, then we’ve already lost the essence of democracy.
