Okay, because you asked I will tell you. Though I am from a humble background, I never knew failure. I excelled in about everything I tried. I was the best in the primary school, best in secondary, third best in university. Though my parents were not well to do, I aspired to study in UK and on my first trial, I got a scholarship! I won my MSc. scholarship four days after my NYSC POP. My UK supervisor told me to stay back and work with her while doing a PhD but I refused and came back. My problem was overconfidence in myself. I just believed I will get a good job in Nigeria without any challenge and after working a couple of years, I will go back for my PhD. After all, hings always work out for me. A long streak of success wrecked me.

1. Putting others before my life...while others actually put their lives first.

2. If you live in a public yard, you must understand that your neighbours aren't your emergency family members.

3. Avoid taking things on credit from shops close to where you live.

4. You really do not owe anyone an explanation when you say NO to their requests.

5. Learn to speak not talk.

6. You are the most important person to you in this world. Remember that.

7. Don't let them kill you!

8. Learn when it's apt to walk away.

9. Set boundaries. Whether they call it pride or whatever, they will respect you.

10. Overthinking will only get you sick. Start doing whatever you can.

11. You really do not need to recruit others to hate someone you hate with you.

12. Some relationships should be valued by you than always trying to be right always.

13. Drink clean water always. Eat good food. Sleep when needed. It's your health. If you can ensure your car gets sealed engine oil and better fuel for efficiency, how much more your body?

14. You don't need to lie to refuse lending money to someone; a simple "I don't have" is accurate. You don't need to attach a reason..damn it's your money!!

And it is also very necessary to collect collateral or they put it in paper. If they refuse, it's ok to let them fck off. A lot of borrowers have no conscience.

15. Avoid too many friends. If possible, avoid it completely. When your are becoming more successful, too many friends and you are closer to your grave.

16. It's not everyone you should bring to your house. This is very important.

17. Refuse binge drinking or eating outside. It's a one-way ticket to hell.

18. Ensure you know how to respond to peer pressure bullies.

19. Buy what you can afford...everything depreciates..

If you are dating your coursemate in the same faculty or department don't ever sit down together with her during exam,I was a victim of that during one of my exams back then in school I was already done with the exam and gave her my answer script to copy so both of us can leave the exam hall together but unfortunately I was caught and my answer script was tore and that lead to my ectral year in school.

Hmmm...if your parents are good parents, listen to parental advice o...a time will come in marriage when you will need their support. And they will give it when they know their hand dey there. But if you do strong head, whatever you see in the marriage, na your own. Also, vet and vet well before you tie the knot and do consultations...marriage to the wrong partner can be hell. It is just meaningless now, just words, but please, don't experience it.

My mistakes led me to become highly psychological.

When I was a teenager, I was really thin because I always had difficulty sleeping. One day, I discovered alcohol in my mom's bedroom, I took some and slept like a baby and it made me feel good too. My mom allowed me, a teenager, continue drinking this poison.

I became addicted to alcohol. I was a master alcoholic. In my early 20s, I'd drink 4 cans of bullet and still carry on like it was water.

Eventually I fell sick in 2020. So sick I lost 24kg. No doctor could explain what was going on. Wasted all my youth going hospital to hospital. Couldn't hangout with my friends anymore or take a gf. Couldn't maintain a job. My life became stagnant.

Eventually sometime in 2024 while thinking about my situation and reading books, something clicked in my head that led me to finding spirituality. Not religion, spirituality. To connect with nature. To return to a forgotten culture. To do what feels good for me. Agriculture, high oxygen, hobbies, laughter, mud house, natural food, watching the sunset, getting away from capitalism and it's destructive creations/lifestyles.

That's the journey I'm on right now. And I'm so convinced it is the solution to fixing my mistakes and my destiny. But I just can't tap into it. I don't know how to tap into that agriculture part, that culture. I'm still living in my mistakes.


What I learnt so far is:
As a youth don't blame yourself for anything. It was the elders that created this nasty capitalistic society. It is their duty to protect you, to leave for you a better culture than the European virus one. It is this foreign culture that causes marital, financial, addiction crises. If some made it out, became successful, they just got lucky. There's no village person doing anything.
