PDP was a military construct. It was the anointed party for the transition. Even the presidential candidate Obasanjo was hand picked by the military. That you had civilians does not mean it wasn’t a military construct. Look at a lot of the top brass in the PDP from 1999, a lot of them are ex military. OBJ,Babangida, David Mark, Bode George, Nyako, Jang, Atiku, Alamieyeseigha, etc. Even late yaradua that became governor of katsina in 1999 became governor because he is from a military family! Go through a list of the PDP chieftains and governors senators etc, you will be amazed how many of them are ex military, police customs, DSS, NSA etc or people who were “friends” of the forces particularly the military. PDP was a creation of the military. That is where you will find the Ex military/ ex forces boys because it was their party.

Tell me which opposition party in 1999 had retired military men? They were all in PDP because it was their soft landing transition party.

It was their creation, like all military exploits they use civilians just like politicians use civil servants to do their dirty work….so don’t be deceived.

I know many of you are young and may not know many of these people are retired military. Go through the top brass in PDP from 1999-2007 and check their backgrounds. They are either military, police, customs, DSS, NSA, etc. even Anenih ex PDP chairman is ex police!

Vice President ex customs
Senate president. Ex military
Numerous governors and senators ex one force or another

And you expected such a party to behave democratically?

Your problem as well as the problem of many unintelligent Nigerians is they can’t isolate issues. You talk about Yoruba, they deflect and talk about ibo, you talk about Christians, they deflect and talk about Muslims, you talk about women cheating they deflect and talk about men cheating. You talk about one politician, they respond with his opponent. I accuse you of theft you start to talk about the other man who stole. It’s a Nigerian disease because we are intellectually shallow and emotional ss a people and we don’t want to deal with uncomfortable subjects so we deflect.

Has it occurred to your “constructive” brain that it is possible for PDP to be undemocratic and the APC to be democratic and that it I is also possible for both PDP and APC to be undemocratic and neither possibilility negates my assertions about PDP?

Finally let me add that another problem with the PDP and the other main opposition (ironically Ex PDP too) is what you have just displayed. Instead of owning up to their errors they deflect

Wike miscalculates alot. Today, while Akpabio was able to negotiate and get the position of the No.3 man in the country wike negotiated a ministerial position....they are both former Governors from Southsouth.

Saraki is the only person in the PDP that outpoliticked Tinubu and Buhari to become Senate President .. When Dr. Saraki's mother died, did you see the number of influential Nigerians that came .. Political parties are vehicles to achieve political change ... There is no Nigerian politician of repute that has not decamped or switched parties. Even Tinubu came from ACN. Buhari from CPC ..

There is no politician that is not ambitious but Saraki is not desperate. Do you know how many times Saraki has assisted the PDP in getting its acts together Saraki is calculative politician and bidding his time. He is ambitious yes, but not desperate like Atiku and Peter Obi

During Saraki's time as Senate President, Nigerians for the first time saw a Senate that questioned why Nigeria will continuing borrowing Billions with nothing to show for it. As Senate President was in the forefront of promoting made in Nigeria goods and services. There has been no Senate President like Saraki.
